I tell you what....the knowledge of pop culture is more impressive to me than a college education. HA! My kids left the house SET regardless of what path they chose. From 80s music to random movie trivia....they are good to go. My daughter and about 3 of her friends were walking to my car after a games a couple years ago and it started pouring...... I screamed....," GET TO THE CHOPPA'!" The only one that understood and started laughing was my daughter. I was very disappointed in these kids absentee parents! I would argue that the reason Scandinavian countries have happier people and are able to enact better social programs is due to their more homogenous population. If most everyone looks alike and shares the same values it is easier to pass legislation that enables the social programs that many covet. That will never be an easy thing to do in the USA. That is in large part due to our diversity.

Maybe. But that doesn't mean the programs wouldn't be every bit as effective here. Being hard to enact isn't an argument against the policies.

More likely, They had to enact such policies as a result of World Wars I and II having a far greater impact on their countries. They needed these policies.

US doesn't NEED these policies as much they did much because we are blessed with so many natural resources and so many natural defenses.

As we now have evidence of how much more effective those policies are, we can use those examples as a reason to adopt those effective policies here rather than supporting greater restrictions of our rights as potential solutions to our social challenges.

Florida just banned 23 of Stephen King's books. They join a list that includes Diary of Anne Frank, For Whom the Bell Tolls, Brave New World, and The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.

King's succinct reply: what the fuck?

I'm sorry. I'm not sure what I was supposed to address.

Episode 3 was the most interesting yet. The Powell Memo information is pretty eye opening. We are all fucked.

Except immigrants commit crime at lower rates than the general population in the US. Even illegal immigrants.

So I'm not sure what point you're trying to make.

You were discussing Scandanavian countries where that assertion is not true.

    Gotcha.

Are you implying that offering better social services will turn immigrants to the US into rampant rapists?

I'm just trying to understand the implication as to how this would be relevant to the US offering comparable social services.

Forgive me i joined the conversation late. I am saying the amount of immigrants that were invited to enter the country in the last few years are causing unprecedented problems and throwing other people’s money at the problem is not only wrong, but it isn’t a fix.

What problem are you referring to? Once again, immigrants (even illegal immigrants) commit less crime than natural born Americans.

I’m not gonna play semantics with you. Nearly every major city is seeing the effects of the migrant crisis, if you are going to pretend it’s nothing then we live on different planets. They have no fucking place to put them. They cause crime, violent and otherwise. The (dipshit liberal) mayors of these cities are now whining about it even though they supported all of it. Even the dingbat Kamala Harris, the “border czar” is promising to do something about it after 3.5 years of actively and intentionally allowing it to happen. Even on this website most people are clapping like seals for Kamala being “strong on the border” now, after they sat around calling everyone racist for saying there was a problem for 3.5 years. Now they have morphed it into a Trump problem because one disastrous monstrosity of an omnibus bill didn’t get passed.
Do liberals ever get tired of being wrong about literally everything?

My new thing is gonna be to call you all bigots for your new found support of border security. Fucking racists.
