Just seems kind of hard to understand a couple things? First how come in a weak draft he fell to #7? Second HCP says nobody in that draft was worth anything but a number of those people working with him seem to think he is? At least they appear to in this video.

    1) He fell to 7th because big men of interest history dominate offensive, and KC is terrible offensively. If he was good offensively, he'd have gone #1.
    2) Again, historically, a dominant big man is an allstar caliber right out of the gates. KC isn't even going to be a starter on an average team. So, I would argue that HCP simply has outdated expectations. This does not make him wrong, at all. The front office has high expectations for KC, but not for a couple of years.

Not sure Dwight Powell or Al Horford dominate Offensively? Both were very effective in the Finals.
I agree Clingan is not a starter at this point as a rookie on a good team but it sure seems like he could very well become a very good center on a very good team with the right group of players around him? Maybe that group of players includes players like Scoot. Sharpe and Flagg?

To me, he has a number of positives you like to see for centers. Smart, studies game and film, good passer, knows his role and where to be on court, good weak side D, seems to have good energy and an edge to his game, and decent shooter of the scale of Scoot. It will take him a few years to get comfortable and if he stays healthy ?

Schmitz said Clingan doesn't have a bad bone in his body. And I immediately think, "What about his cartilage and ligaments?"

He’s a highly drafted center in Portland, so what do you think?

If we can win a Championship with a 5 that has bad feet, we certainly could with a 5 with suspect c & l's.....

The Block Lobster will play great with Scoot, Shae & Deni.

    Lobster because he's from Connecticut?

Will they run the pick and lobster roll with him?
