They are favored by two touchdowns, if the beavs can keep within that, I won't be upset. I'll never jump on the bandwagon though!

I got no hate for the Ducks. Love watching them. I just went to OSU so that is where my heart is.
I'm a "State of Oregon" fan.

In the first two games vs what was thought to be lesser opponents, Oregon made all sorts of in game swaps on their OLine. Was that for building depth & versatility or was it more because they were searching for something that works? I'm hoping it was more the former then the later but the immediate results were lots of issues to clean up including penalties. I expect they'll use a more set lineup as the Beavers represent a step up in competition. The time to experiment is over as the first real test of their season is today

when Oregon has had control of a game over the last 20 years, it's been because their OLines have been operating at a high level. In the first 2 games, Oregon's OLine has totally sucked. They aren't creating holes for the RB's and they are consistently missing assignments in the passing game

last season, Oregon ranked 3rd in the nation in 3rd down conversion rate at 51%. This season, Oregon ranks 72nd at 39%. They've been behind the chains too often becasue their execution on 1st downs has sucked; and that includes many penalties. !st & 20 and 1st and 15 are a lot harder to convert than 1st & 10. And becasue the offense can't stay on the field enough, the Duck D has been on the field too much; and back on the field after 3 & outs way too often.

the last time I saw a Duck OLine perform this poorly to start the season was 2009, Chip Kelly's 1st season as HC. The Ducks got bombed in Boise by Boise State, then barely beat a bad Purdue team by 2 in Autzen. But that Duck team improved rapidly as the OLine came together and won the Pac-12 making it to the Rose Bowl. But that Duck team had Steve Greatwood as the OLine coach. Not sure the current OLine coach has the chops Greatwood did

Parkrose is like Portland’s 2nd Chinatown. My parents friends used to own the wooden chicken so I’ve spent many a time in that area
