I believed for a moment this actually upset you, but I should know better since I don't typically use the green font, either.
What the fuck you talking about? It sure does piss me off that they put him in that situation, I have huge respect for Joe and it's tough to see him struggle. At 74 I know what it's like to lose some of your memory and so do people around me.
OMG, you were being serious? Do you have more than this clip, then? Because that sure isn't enough context for me to say that even was his fault. He had three people on the dais with him and it probably was just some miscommunication with the program. At least, I think that's what any reasonable person would do.
Thats my point, they know Joe struggles at times and they need to cover for him quickly if they are going to put him in that situation.
You can't tell who is struggling based on that. You're making an assumption. It's, what, a 12-second clip where he's finished his portion of the speech and doesn't know which of his three guests he's supposed to introduce next. And from that, you've somehow concluded he was at fault for something? I think you're making a huge assumption there with very little to go on. You can't tell who messed up from that.
Nowhere did I say he hasn't struggled at times, although in what way and in what level I think has been hyperbolized and exploited for political and commercial purposes. Would you agree that also has happened? Now, none of that has anything to do with this clip. To conclude anything from that, one either must have more information that that clip provided OR one must already be biased to a certain perception. For instance, you flew off the handle when I first thought your outrage was being cute. You also revealed you are 74 and have seen people that age struggle (BTW, I was caretaker for both my mum and her sister when they were in their 80s, so I have witnessed challenges both real and those people just presume they'd have first-hand). Should I just conclude you are a grumpy old guy who can't control himself? I don't think that'd be fair of me, but maybe you will tell me otherwise.
You can conclude whatever you want Mr generational Poster. Some guys think they know it all, obviously you do....
Maybe it's just me but why the fuck does anyone think it fall to the United States in general, and the US president in particular to solve the eternal problems of the Middle East? Israel makes its own decisions and does what it wants to do/what it feels is best for their interest. They are our friends when it is convenient and they shit on our heads when it suits them. They are a country (argue till the cows come home) founded on a mix of terrorism and collective world guilt. Netanyahu is a Trump, only more dangerous. Israel is doing exactly what it wants right now and they don't give two shits what we think. They look at the Palestinians like Trump and Vance look at Haitians, with no good end in sight. We have more justification for supporting Ukraine than we have for supporting Israel (or Palestine for that matter) at this particular time in history. I'm seriously not even sure what supporting Israel does for the US anymore in this day and age. Blame competing media/political narratives. But, rant aside, again, why is it on Joe Biden or any other American president to fix the Middle East "bonfire". That shit has been burning for centuries.....maybe they all just need to let their endless hatred consume themselves.
Nah. Everything bad in the world is his fault. And it's his responsibility to fix everything. And if something isn't perfect in his vicinity, it's because of his severe cognitive decline. And if something he does works and makes life better for millions of paper ... well, did they tell you he's a screw-up in the final stages of cognitive decline? Biden started all of this by making a time machine but falling asleep at the wheel because of advanced age and going back thousands of years in time and accidentally starting the whole Middle East conflict.
The fact that United States foreign policy is the sole, root cause of all those problems would be a good place to start…
lulz people still think U.S. policy isn't a contributor of the Middle East being in complete disarray. Really? Sure, and the same for South America too. They aren't our friends at all. They have kidnapped our country and make us wage war with all their neighbors and expect us to fight needless wars for them and give them billions upon billions of tax payer dollars while our own citizens are told that medicare for all is a pipe dream. We're totally complicit in a genocide right now. It's' absolutely on the President to get his ally in line. Bush and Obama got them in line real quick with threats to cut off funding when they let their settlements wreak havoc on the Palestinian populations. There's no reason why Biden can't do the same. Except for all that AIPAC money. It's simple. Threaten to cut off funding. Don't give them anymore weapons. Government officials in Israel have even said this war would end tomorrow if the U.S. decided to cut them off. And yes, the Zionist mainstream media isn't doing us any favors either.
The Middle East is home to some of the most powerful empires in world history. You should turn off the Bill Maher and ask yourself why it is the way it is now. Could it be because the West wanted to extract all of the resources it could ala South America? Staging coups to unseat popular leaders to install dictatorships that would go along with these extractions. All the excuses for Joe Biden, but turn around and shit on George W. Bush for being a part of the same damn thing. Hypocrisy has a funny way of rearing its ugly head.
Joe Biden set a red line for Israel. I didn't. They didn't respect his red line and did what they wanted to do with no threat of cutting off weapons or money. Joe Biden's presidency has been one of the greatest failures in American history. Sending American men and women to the Middle East to die for Israel. The same way Bush did. Utter failure that could have implications in our elections.
It would be far more accurate to say that "centuries ago the Middle East was home to some of the most powerful empires in world history". Right now? Give me a break. Backwards oligarchies that subjugate their citizens and finance world wide terrorism while we cover their backs. These sand piles would not exist without the largesse of the American taxpayer. America certainly owns its share of blame for today's mess, but it would probably be an even bigger shit pile if America left it to the Arabs and Jews to police the region. Anymore that's probably not a bad idea........
When did Islamic fundamentalism enter the picture? When Khomeini entered the picture thanks to the Carter administration. Who funded Bin Laden? Why was he called an Anti-Communist Hero in French newspapers? Yeah, you wouldn't have the rise of Islamic extremism in that region had it not been for the west funding that project to combat communism. These are just facts. The Middle East did not have a fundamentalism problem prior to the West trying to get in on their resources.
Not much we can do to change that now... We should be focusing on calming it down and helping the people.
