I just moved further away from Portland, so less than before. I’ll try to make it out though. I try to get to 5 or so games a year

Before the Tilikum Crossing was built I always thought that area would be great for a stadium, assuming they had room to built proper traffic/parking infastructure.

Then the crossing cut that land in half.

So if someone gets drilled in the face by a 95 mph fastball, they’re in good hands

There isn't any funding in place to replace that bridge. Everything at this point is directed at replacing the Burnside bridge and the Interstate Bridge. If you remember the fight about who was going to pay for the Sellwood Bridge located in Multnomah County but mainly used by Clackamas County residents? That same issue would come to the surface. Not many people other than those who reside in Clackamas County and SE Portland use that bridge. It's not going to be a priority and passing some kind of levy or tax to build it will come with very steep opposition. Got to remember it cost $325 million to replace the Sellwood 8 years ago.

Marine Uber sounds a bit maniacal?
Sub Uber sounds like it might be less than trustworthy?
Aqua Uber sounds like a new hairstyle?

    Just sayin?

Well sure anything is possible with enough money - but the Sellwood bridge cost $324 million to have a new one in the same spot and its two lanes. Ross island is double the lanes so would probably be much more, especially if they move it and need to change a bunch of the onramps/etc.

You know I just looked it up the bridge was "only" $134 million to build. But seems more feasible they could scrap that bridge than move the Ross island.

Actually... how about they keep the Tilkium bridge but just modify the west side ramp so you walk straight from the field into an entrance to the stadium at centerfield? Could even stand on the bridge and try to catch balls.

Then have a train from downtown go right to the north side of the ballpark. So the existing train line would be cut at the stadium with an end of the line on the bridge (that train goes back over the brdige and East) and a seperate end of the line on the north (that westside only train goes back towards downtown)

edit; actually looking at the map again I think the problem is that OHSU school dentistry building still would be in the way.... says it was only $12 million to build so perhaps that could make sense to tear that down.
