Just finished the Beaver game….that shit was fun. I always get the NCAA overtime rules confused with the NFL!
Looking at the remaining schedule and seeing how BSU is now being listed in the College Football Playoff Rankings, if the Beavers win out, they will be in the playoffs. https://www.espn.com/espn/feature/s...e-football-allstate-playoff-bracket-predictor
Or, the Ducks or the Beavers could host a home playoff game against the Ducks or Beavers. Talk about the ultimate Civil War game.
I see very little chance the Beavers win out. It took a valiant effort to beat a scrubby Colorado St team at home. Lookinat the schedule the only game that looks winnable is against Air Force
Your statement that the only winnable game is against Air Force is ridiculous. Beavers are a favorite at 2-4 Nevada - so that game is certainly "winnable" or perhaps even more. 5 of 6 games after that are all against good teams so yeah odds are very high the Beavs will not be winning out. I'd say every single game could potentially be winnable though. It not like the Beavers are Vanderbilt going against Alabama or something, and even then...
There's a reason they play the games. Predicting either Oregon or Oregon State to win out would be bold. 2.5 losses each is where the betting should start.
...but what we could do is bet each other which team will have more losses at the end of the year -- Beavers or Ducks?!
You guys are actually running with this? I’m a total Beaver fan and even I know better than that. Even with my Homer Glasses fully intact!
More private equity trying to get into the sport .... https://sports.yahoo.com/while-sec-...radically-alter-college-sports-130031473.html
and if that doesn't happen (it won't) OSU at least has the fall back option of joining the Big-12....right? the Pac-7 should just end the misery and add Sacramento St.
That twitter account is talking about rumors of Memphis and Tulane joining? Not sure if those are actual discussions or its just complete rumors. I'd love to add Texas State - would think for travel they must have some closer universities so Memphis/Tulane would help and of course UTSA couldn't be any closer. Kind of crazy even with 10 teams they couldn't have a conference championship as NCAA requires 12 teams. Maybe the hope would be Standford/Cal could eventually come over. For basketball only the deer logo is Grand Canyon university and SMCG is Saint Mary's in California.... I don't know what that top right one is?
No reason for the Pac to add Sac state now. That school would accept an offer at any time so if eventually the Pac can't find an 8th member they could just add them in early 2026. Look how much has changed with the conference in the last 15 months.... who knows what opportunities the conference may have in the next 15.
I think the top right one is Wichita State, though I certainly haven't heard any rumors about them joining. As great as it would be to get Cal/Stanford back, I have no idea what it would cost them to back out of their ACC agreement. But if they could, I think a 9 football/12 basketball team conference would be pretty sweet. OSU/WSU/BSU/CSU/FSU/SDSU/USU/Cal/Stan + Gon/SM/GCU. Done--perfect. (Actually, UNLV instead of Utah St would be better, but whatever...)
