I'll get a small glimpse before some people. Not always, but on big projects we ask to see things asap so we can help companies get an idea on manpower and estimating. A big issue with contractors is being able to man a job and what safety concerns they will need to look at for estimating. A very small mistake can cause big overruns on budgets. It helps to be able to train people before they are on the job. Reduces costs and always helps people go home safe to their families without getting hurt.

The fact that there are MLB playoff games played during the middle of the day on a weekday shows how irrelevant baseball is.
I know I know - day baseball games are a tradition. But to have playoff games in the middle of the day on a weekday is crazy to me.

You know what else…… when texting, type “BALL” and look what comes up as an option….. you have to go to the second page with a volleyball, golf ball and meatball to find a baseball emoji…. dead serious. Just ain’t relevant anymore, as much as you want it to be.

I feel sorry for you typing "BALL" all the time in search engines. I'll release the Mrs. for one night.

Balls are the most beautiful things!

I typed “Balls” and just went with the first words that came up after.

Edit- I added the exclamation mark !

I'd love to see MLB come to Portland, but does the spot by Tilicum Bridge have enough road and transportation access for a game day crowd? It's hard to imagine an extra 35,000 people showing up down there. I wanna hear the PDX baseball people address that. Maybe they already have?

It looks too tight to me. I didn’t see the retractable dome on those overlays they showed either.

A baseball stadium should be used as a catalyst for new development, the SoW(h)at district does not need this. Nothing will be gained.

The best place is industrial NW. There are businesses that need to be moved from that area. A stadium would help with this. Having a Forrest Park on one side and the river on the other would be gorgeous. It would help that area to redevelop. You could add the roads and light rail to that area much easier and cheaper.

I have always felt the T1 &T2 area was easily the best choice as well. Development would be the easiest and most cost efficient.
The one thing that both of these sites offer is river access for large materials on barge instead of trucks.
The SW site does have trolly and it can be upgraded and expanded but the Terminal site could have very easily added that or light rail.

T1 and T2 make too much sense. Not buying the Zidell site
