Former #11 lottery pick from the Hornets. Never clicked for him in the pros.

Jesus, our FO really has a type these days. The only players we pick up are no-D gunners. Anfernee should either feel very appreciated or put his house on the market.

Athletic player who can create for himself and can play off the ball, great bounce, three level scorer, reminicent of Jordan Clarkson (uh oh), but should (not is) be a passable defender. Mental issues. Was found asleep with gun in lap sitting in car somewhere a year ago.

I remember the announcers gushing over him in summer league his rookie year. Looks like he hasn’t put it all together.

I did not realize we had a lot of shooters on the team.

"Gunners" is not quite the same as "shooters".

Ant hurt, Sharpe with a longer term injury, Scoot shooting doesn't look at all improved. At this point its logical for the team to pickup some scrub guard who can score.

Would've made much more sense to trade away a couple of our vets (Grant/Ayton/Ant/Thybulle/Timelord) and use our 2nd rounders on guys to fill this type of role. Instead we sold the 2nd round picks for cash.

A 2nd rounder has a very small chance to improve and become an NBA role player eventually. Instead its a week before the regular season and we're adding GLeague scrubs to this roster for the 4th straight season.

Time to get excited for opening night?

I've seen him play in summer league a couple of times, and he looked pretty good there.

Alcoholic, busted a few times, has fallen into the G-League 3 years after he was the 11th pick. I hope that management spends for a psychiatrist, but the change must come from within, from deep in the subconsciousness.

they've been drafting high for years and are still drafting high. plus their culture sorta sucks.

can't say I see it with bouknight, though. bucket-getters who can't play defense, where have I heard that before?

Are we sure he is not a good defender? Sounds like he has gotten lost on occasion but has a lot of potential. I googled this:

Is James Bouknight a good defender?

"Decent defender with unlimited potential thanks to a reported 7′ foot wingspan. Averaged over one steal per game … One of the most active players off the ball on offense who uses his speed and stamina to create easy scoring opportunities with relentless motor"
