Alright. I'll bite. Do you even know what the rule on charging? Was he "Stationary" and in a "Guarding Position"?

Seriously just about everything you come up with is whack?

In the NBA, a charging foul is an offensive foul that occurs when an offensive player runs into a stationary defender who has established a legal guarding position:

    • The defender has both feet on the floor

    • The defender is facing their opponent

    • The defender establishes a legal position in the dribbler's path before contact

    • The moving offensive player initiates contact
The penalty for a charging foul is:
    • The offender is assessed an offensive foul
    • The ball is awarded to the offended team on the sideline nearest the spot where play was interrupted

Yeah well that Knecht kid is going to be a good player in this league. I won't say Sharpe won't be good but I have never seen Sharpe take over a game like that whether it be pre season or not.

I wanted us to draft Knecht. But I was told that he’s too old to be good.

Cronin should try to get Knecht. LA only wants to give up one pick. So just offer Grant for Knecht + fillers.

You know that is the one point that i simply cannot argue against. It's so very true for both Scoot and Sharpe.
Anyway I was kind of more bitching about the lakers getting a decent player with my original statement. The head and shoulders part might have been a bit over the top but at least at this point Knecht looks to be way more NBA ready.

How many times has the "but he's only x" years old excuse turned out to be in reference to a player that actually proved the original statement wrong, vs how many times did it fail...just for Blazers in the modern era. Let's see from memory:

    Drastically improved:
    Jermaine O'Neal

Ended up being the the duds they looked like when they were young:
Telfair, Webster, Outlaw, Leonard, Little, Woods...

Would like to see his missed shots as well to get a good look at him. See if they were close, forced, etc... But we all talk about Flagg while this guy could easily be the best player. Gonna be a great season.

Imagine we tried. But the Fakers needed some kind of prospect bad.

The difference is, Telfair, Webster and Outlaw were all reaches at their positions, Sharpe wasn't.

Leonard was just a bad pick.

And little and woods were not lotto picks. And in the case of Little, there's a reason he dropped.

You have to be there first and established for it to be a charge. Bronny was not. He got there late and he initiated the contact on a player in the act of jumping. Absolutely 100% a foul.

And the fact that he flexed before he hit him shows that he had intent on the body, not the ball. Flagrant.

That's debatable. No one was [reportedly] scrambling to get ahead of us to pick him, and he was available there precisely because of the uncertainties that have led him to still being only potentially more valuable than where he was picked.
