    Tom's in Portland (39th & Division) was my dad's favorite joint for decades. Those kinds of places may not be fancy but they have to be doing something right.....

    There is also an Elmers on 99w in between tigard and king city area. I take my mother there sometimes when i visit her. We are almost always pleased by the food and service.
