You see, the difference is when conservatives claim politicians are going to do X, we can actually back it up with things those politicians have said.

The FDA doesn't "propose" treatments. They approve drugs that pass the necessary hurdles, yes.

You seem to think the NIH and the FDA are the same agency. They aren't.
A researcher at the NIH getting royalties on some drug she helped discover isn't over at the FDA approving the drug for general use.
The FDA and NIH each have about 18,000 employees. With different responsibilities.
There are outside reviewers. There are audits. There are firewalls.
I'm not saying there's zero chance for corruption, there's always chance for corruption when humans are involved.
But your understanding of the way the agencies function is cartoonish at best.

Well, first off, he's retired now.

No, I can't, but you certainly can.

You don't have to blindly trust the science. You can put in the necessary effort to educate yourself, such that you can read the literature at an expert level. It will take you a few years of hard work, but it would be worth it - you wouldn't have to take anyone else's word for it.

But, since you don't know the science, and you aren't going to learn it, the smart thing for you to do would be to, yes, blindly trust the science. That's a better route than blindly listening to, and repeating, the lies and misconceptions of other people who don't know what the fuck they are talking about.

Sure, it could be. But you haven't presented any evidence that it is. Speculation isn't worth much.

That's why there are no longer any guns! The Dems took them all like you said. And everyone I know has had an abortion and transitioned multiple times. My kids school has a litter box in every classroom. And women's sports are overrun with men pretending to be women and dominating the fields.
    Fuck off

LeBron James endorses Kamala Harris for president: ‘The choice is clear’
    jack baer
    Staff writer
Thu, Oct 31, 2024, 4:47 PM PDT·2 min read In case there was any confusion on where LeBron James stands in the 2024 presidential election, he made his views very clear on Thursday.
The Los Angeles Lakers star posted a video on social media officially endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris over former President Donald Trump. He included a pointed video featuring a racist watermelon joke made by comedian Tony Hinchcliffe at Trump's rally at Madison Square Garden on Sunday, an appearance that has since been widely criticized and partially disowned by Trump himself. The video also included past comments Trump has made on race.

Plainly speaking, it is not a surprise that LeBron James endorsed the opponent of Donald Trump. The two have been at odds repeatedly since Trump's election in 2016, during which James endorsed Hillary Clinton. No NBA champion visited Trump during his presidency, with James playing a vocal part in the back-and-forth involved. James has received some nice words from Trump's wife Melania, though.

The most memorable episode of James and Trump's clash was when he directly called the president a bum after disinviting the Golden State Warriors from the White House, something Stephen Curry said he wasn't interested in doing.

Im laughing at all the polls and continue my steadfast belief of never believing any polls for anyone.

3 or 4 of them say Kamala is gonna win, 3 or 4 say the dumbass is gonna win.

Why even have polls? I'm sure they are skewed for either side.

Its the same thing with sports and why I almost never talk about any of the pregame stuff... it doesn't matter until the day arrives

Maybe one of the guys can explain this.

I understand half the gender gap. Trump boasts of overturning Roe. He is legally responsible for rape. His words and actions towards women have been despicable for decades. So women favoring Harris by a large margin isn't surprising.

It's the other half of the gender gap that needs explaining. Unlike Hillary Clinton, who had been demonized for years, Harris doesn't have strong negatives. She is physically attractive and personable. She is running on a centrist platform. Yet male voters, including many who voted for Biden, aren't supporting her. Is it just that men won't vote for a woman? Because a woman can't be qualified? Is she automatically seen as weak or at least weaker, rather ironic considering how weak Trump is? Are men so insecure they can't handle a successful woman? What?
