Autzen Audibles guys said this is the first time a Big Ten team has beaten both tOSU and Michigan in the same season since Michigan State in 2015.
Yes it sucked to lose Harper and Dez... fingers crossed that the upcoming news for those two isn't worst case. On the positive side of the injury report, both DE Jordon Burch and Dave Iuli were cleared. I know Burch saw some action yesterday but am not sure about Big Dave. Iuli was recovering from toe surgery and has been at the last couple practices but is likely not in football shape yet. In the offseason he was thought to be competing for a starting spot at OG so hopefully he's able to help mitigate the loss of Harper if he's out a while. Also last seasons starting CB Jahlil Florence is thought to be off the list for the first time this season, maybe as soon as this next week. Overall Oregon has fared really well keeping guys healthy this season. STOMP
Another thing on the downside of all things Ducks is that they lost Nevada Offensive Tackle Alai Kalaniuvalu from this year's class yesterday to BYU. It's my understanding that he's going to take a two year Mormon mission following HS. STOMP
reports from the sidelins are that Harper walked of the field after the game without a limp and with only an ice-pack on his knee. If it was more serious, he would have been in a brace
At the start of the season I thought our o-line was struggling because some of our best players were injured. Are those players back?
Yes. More specifically Marcus Harper and Ajani Cornelius. So there was some starters playing out of position. The Ducks are a very deep and complete team. But I think their O line depth isn’t that great this year. Looks like they’re shoring that up in recruiting. It was rough starting the year with Pickard the walk-on at center. Had a lot to do with the early season struggles. Cornelius and Conerly are future NFL O-lineman.
B1G analyst #1: This is bad. B1G analyst #2: How bad is it? B1G analyst #1: It's so bad 1200 BC called and the Trojans want their name back.
What are the traditional powers in the Big 10 thinking now? Oops? Michigan at Indiana should be interesting next weekend. 12:30 on CBS.
It’s cool watching all these former Ducks getting prominent roles in the NFL. Nix, Forsyth, Franklin, Jackson Powers-Johnson, Bucky Irving… All starting and all played last year.
Indiana at tOSU two weeks from now will be VERY interesting sure looks like Oregon and OSU are heading for a rematch
