Politics Official 2024 Presidential Election Thread

I don’t get this. Nothing to vote for? Like helping new homeowners? Or child care? Or middle class tax cuts? Tax deductions for starting new businesses? This is all so stupid. She spoke more about her plans than cats and dogs Trump.

 

She was a horrible candidate who changed her position every time it benefited her.

Nobody believed a damn thing she said.

 

Fine. But it’s absurd to claim that she was a bad candidate and flip flopped or whatever and that’s why she lost. It is irrelevant. She lost to Epsteins best friend who can’t string together one coherent sentence without a teleprompter and is a convicted felon. Oh yeah and who buried his ex wife on the fucking 13th hole.

 

She lost because people didn't have faith in her and didn't show up to vote. They didn't pick Trump over her. They didn't pick anyone.

The Dems didn't give people a reason to show up to vote. Too many people didn't like either of them.

The Dems can get pissed off at that all they want. But if they don't fix it they're going to keep having the same problem.

They need to stop segregating people and start helping people. Demonizing gun owners. Demonizing the wealthy. Demonizing men (man or bear, etc). Ignoring the working class.

They didn't get a good message out, and they didn't have a good messenger. They failed us.

 

There are two sets of expectations. Dems have to have their ducks in a row and near perfect. Republicans can claim people are eating pets. Got it.

 

How many times did Kamala and Walz say they HAD guns and are pro 2nd amendment? This is like bizzaroland

 

Nobody trusted Kamala Harris. How many times do I have to say it? That was an example of ever changing positions. She was going to be strict on guns until she wasn't.

 

Or they can just keep losing. They can get pissed off and quit.

I'm telling you the reality of the situation. They keep doing what they've been doing they're going to get their ass handed to them.

 

I thought you could be a gun owner and also make sensible gun laws. Or we just let it be mayhem forever. She can’t win. Pro 2nd amendment gun owner and she apparently is demonizing gun owners. It’s dumb.

 

We have sensible gun laws. But that's beside the point.

She started talking about "assault weapons" bans right away (which is about the dumbest shit you can imagine if you know anything about guns), which turned off a ton of people and they stopped immediately. Then the next week it was all about "We love the 2nd amendment!"

It was absolutely hollow and transparent. I didn't point it out because I wanted her to win over Trump. But people saw it.

 

No, something like 18 million people who voted last time didn't come out to vote this time.

They didn't trust either of them.

That's why Kamala lost.

 

Trump didn't get more votes. He got about the same number of votes as last time.

People stopped being afraid of Trump and weren't interested in voting for Kamala. So tens of millions fewer showed up than last time.

Trump's base showed up the same way they did last time. He replaced some of the ones who didn't care about him with what appears to me to be macho minorities.

Kamala simply didn't impress as many people as were simply afraid of Trump in 2020.

 

That's true. And that's a great movie.
