I agree with playing to win every game. Tanking is a crap shoot regardless. Sure you need to draft well but you can find a guy like Camara in the second round of the draft.

When we were down and out, we got LA and BRoy…..and then Greg and then Dame. Thats how it works. I believe people forget this.

Sir/ma’am…… I don’t believe ANYBODY is having fun hearing fans wish for losses over wins. The reality is, the more losses THIS season will most likely lead to us being a better team in the future. Unfortunately, that’s how it works. Not always obviously, but in a draft this stacked and loaded with talent as it appears to be…..I believe that’s the direction a lot on here think we should take. This isn’t new, although I just saw you are.

I sure roared as loud as I could because these guys were playing their hearts out. Loved watching the look on T. Young's face as Tou kept coming after him again and again and again. Just like Julius Randle in the MIN games.

That's the theoretical fear, but it really wouldn't. It would make every team fight and play harder. No more tanking. Winning would mean more and losing would mean less. Super teams may form? Yes. Super teams already form now within this system? Yes.

If Joe finds a team that wants to give us a FRP for Rob then I'm cool with Deandre staying but if Rob is staying I want all three gone... I know that's an ambitious and probably unrealistic wish.

I just think that Jerami, while still in his prime, is on the back side of it, so he needs to go while he can still be a starter who can contribute to playoffs wins.

I think Ant has to go because he fucks the game up for Scoot and Shaedon... he takes away reps from them on O and puts them in terrible positions on D (by far I think Ant should be Joe's number one priority to move, especially with the emergence of Banton).

I wouldn't be mad if we kept Deandre but there are teams that have designs on the playoffs that could use his help and I have to think we could get some alright value for him right now and if we can then we must.

So the free-agent attractive cities could buy a good team, win, and rebuild at the same time? No thanks. Even having all the lottery teams with the same odds would be better than that.

All the glamor markets would dominate. Imagine the Lakers, Warriors, or Celtics getting the #1 pick such as Wemby when they already won a title.

I would be interested in expanding the playin to 12 teams or something like that. teams 12+11 play then (11/12 winner) plays 10 for the last playin spot or something like that. Probably would still be some tanking but then your only talking about a couple teams in a conference.

The NBA is just different than other sports in that a top5 picks can totally change the outlook of a franchise for over a decade. NFL/MLB/etc don't have this.

I would prefer if there was a way that we didn't have the tanking... I've just never heard of a great solution.

There is a chance, albeit a small one, that the roster Cronin has quietly assembled is much better than its been given credit for. The team is, for absolutely the only time I can remember, TALL. When they play with the energy that they have exhibited these past 3 games, that's been very disruptive to the opposing teams. They also are able to switch on defense without losing much...something that was sadly lacking in the Dame era. One major element that has been lacking is a player with true All-Star credentials. IF Sharpe continues to build on what he's done the past couple of games, he could be stepping into that role. It could be that the things separating this team from being truly competitive are experience AND a trade that actually improves the roster; not just a dump of the vets for draft picks.

That’s a lot of positive speculation based on the past three games. I’m well aware that this is the same team that got blown out at home by the Grizzlies a week ago. I think the next couple of weeks will show what the actual situation is.

Lol. This would lead to a dominant team winning every year for decades.

I'd certainly stop watching the NBA.

We play OKC who is the title favorites and then a cup game against Houston - both on the road.

So we'll learn pretty quickly where this team stands.

What hair are you even trying to split here? Guys making within a million per year of what he does include Jason Tatum, De'Arron Fox, Bam & Donovan Mitchell... are they not elite players? I even qualified what you're trying to take me to task over saying that his contract level is that of a player with "pretty elite production", meaning just less then the best of the best.

So yes, my overriding point is true... Jerami at 32M per is not a bargain that other teams are at all likely to be looking to take on. I'm sure something could be worked out, but I very much doubt we'd like it.

I was in the building for the wave, as you were (and Eric).

It'll be a long time before it's that loud again.
