Not sure why you’re confused, but there was this old Chinese philosopher, I forget his name, who used to say “Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance”. Hopefully that makes you feel better about being confused

 

The extent of my ignorance is vast and complex. With it comes a deep inner peace.

 

Something I often say this to my wife is….if I know I’m ignorant, can I really be ignorant?

 

Absolutely. Self awareness does nothing for outward awareness. However I don't speak to my wife about being ignorant. She already knows I am a dumbass. I get an eye-roll or head-shake on a daily.
