Too you? Rarely. In conversations i’ve been a part of, you don't step up. But whatever… Condescension is the typical/first response for some. Congratulations.
This is local sports radio in general. Nothing ever sticks for too long. Luckily Isaac and Suke has lasted a long time. I think it has more to do with them being a sports radio show that also dives into other stuff. You feel like you know them. I’ve been a cult listener probably 15 years to PrimeTime. Chad is cool too. I remember when he would be involved with the Jim Rome show. He was a prima-donna. But he mellowed out and is good radio.
I used to listen to them, but they didn't talk enough Blazers for me. They have shown at times to really not be interested in the Blazers. It would be nice if Jodi and her billions would help offset the losses somehow, maybe buy shares or whatnot, so Rip City Radio could live in full moving forward.
It was Justin Myers. He was let go unceremoniously on Monday 11/4. Dwight Jaynes was let go from the afternoon show same day. Unfortunately, 1080 is now the only option for local morning content
I liked having someone who would talk about the Blazers in the mornings. Dirt/Sprague don't really do much Blazers talk.
I swapped over to just listening to podcasts in the morning. The commercials on radio are ridiculous and Justin would have his annoying friend on to talk hoops and his takes were so basic. At least Danny Marang goes in depth into stats and he’s around the team all the time.
Local sports talk sucks, and there are times when I turn on Suke and what's his face, and there are times when you'd never know there was an NBA team in Portland. They've held onto the act that they cultivated back when Patterson and Nash were running things.
I specifically listen to Issac and Suke because they have almost two hours of content a day that's not sports related. I don't know how people ever can just listen to all sports talk all the time. I need something different within it.
Well, there’s a million options to listen to people NOT talk sports. Why would I go to a sports radio station to listen to guys talk about things unrelated to sports?
