Those suckers and losers. Need to stop coddling them. Got to finance tax cuts for the rich.

Anyone who thinks any of these appointees are good ones/candidates is, quite simply, an idiot.

John Bolton compared Kash Patel, who promised revenge against Trump enemies, to Stalin's hatchet man Beria. It was Beria who actually carried out the purges, mass incarceration, mass internal relocations.

Nothing that exits John Boltons mouth is legitimate.

Pete Hesgeth, nominee for Defense Secretary, Christian nationalists rapist who wants to get women out of combat (maybe because they learn how to fight off rapists) and get trans people out of military entirely, appears to have serious drinking problem. According to New Yorker, he was kicked off two charities for showing up drunk and for sexual misconduct and financial mismanagement. On numerous occasions he had to be carried home because he was too drunk. He also reportedly shouted "kill all Muslims" in a bar.

Exactly the kind of person who should have senior national security job.

Both candidates were basically the same though.

Only one had any appeal other than "I'm not that guy"...

Problem is, to be for anything that matters to normal people would make you not a corporate Democrat and therefore would be railroaded by the DNC.

    Oh I get it.

Dad is drinking again and punching holes in the wall, and Mom is putting her hands over her ears and screaming "kids stop complaining!" whenever we ask for dinner. Dad just backhanded Mom and looked straight at you and said, "If you say a word to the principal I'm kicking you out of my fucking house, now shut up and get me another beer."

And we're all that kid. Some people operate well under those conditions. They know that if you get Dad a beer he won't whoop you. To them, Mom is weak and hysterical for pretending peace in this house could ever be an option. But Mom would slip you money for lunch behind Dad's back, and that was sometimes the only meal you got that day. Buuut, she made up stories to cover up why you were showing up to school with bruises.

Mom's complicated. Dad isn't (other than his dad beat him as a kid too).
A lot of people chose to give Dad a beer, and might enjoy it a bit in a really cynical way to see him hit Mom again.

Trump had 3 million fewer votes than last time. The reality is that a lot of people just checked out.

*Edit* Correction, I just checked again and Trump got 2.8 million MORE votes than last time

But Harris got 6.8 million fewer. So if Dems could have energized their base they could have won.

2.5 million votes separated them. The fatigue won the election, honestly.

As intended. It was honestly a masterful plan. One the Democrats couldn't possibly counter without turning away from their corporate overlords. And they aren't ready to do that.

The sad part people didn't realize in their fatigue is if they had just voted (I'm assuming here that it was democrats with the fatigue) against him, this would have been about his batshit insane election denying with court cases getting thrown out 60 times over because of frivolous filings... but now peoples rights are taken away and a good possibility we don't recover from this.

And that'd of lasted weeks to months, instead of now it'll last decades.

What about the guys who think women being mean to them are the real genocide perpetrators? We weren’t nice enough to them so they voted for Trump… are we still being asked to take that reason seriously?
