Wouldn't be anything different than we what have right now, would it? The argument is Scoot vs. Amen. I'll take bottom 5 offense top 5 defense over bottom 5 offense bottom 5 defense.
I think the problem is assuming that a team can be great on one end of the floor while sucking on the other end. I think the suckage wouldn't simply stop at the equator I'm also thinking that out of the foursome of Amen/Camara/Deni/Clingan there is likely no all-star level upside. There is also nobody who can consistently create their own offense at any consistent level. It could be an entertaining team, but probably never contending If the Blazers had drafted Amen, I'd think they'd be better off right now having a Knecht or McCain or Da Silva + the 2029 1st + the two 2nd's.
You do just realize that guy is a troll in here. He won't reply to you either. I just scroll past anything he says lol
All I care about is maximizing our assets. Even if you don't draft that star, you can move him for one. How much trade value does Amen have over Scoot? Anyways, this is all moot. I'll maintain that taking Scoot over Amen was a mistake. Maybe not a catastrophic mistake, but a mistake nonetheless.
Yeah but you don’t keep Dame and the pick? Well maybe but I thought he wanted the pick traded for help now.
I wonder how this team would be performing if they did pick Thompson and tried to keep Dame? Not sure they get the 7th pick last year. Not sure they are good enough either?
He did. Had to trade him and Scoot was widely considered a top three pick by virtually everyone. You can't fault management for picking him, IMO. I think he would have demanded out regardless of who we drafted.
You talking about yourself? All you do is troll and post negative troll comments 24/7 to get a reaction out of people. If people didn’t actually fall into your trolling trap job, I bet you would post less and less lol
On this one though there is an actual conversation. The Blazers made a decision to go the way they did. They decided to draft a guy that would eventually become Damian Lillard's replacement in theory. This is a thread about Scoot, and Thompson could have been picked instead. Where the troll part comes is that he posts this in every thread he posts in and says absolutely nothing to make any correlation as to what he would have done differently because he is only using a very weak 20/20 hindsight jab that a player drafted after Scoot MIGHT end up having a good career. He also doesn't seem to be interested in looking at the vast improvement Scoot has made both defensively and on offense. I'm still looking forward to where Scoot is in two years.
Can’t help but wonder if he would play better under a different coach? He really needs to be in starting lineup for remainder of year so we can see what we have.
Sentence 1: Correct, another coach might raise him to Simons' level after 2 more long years, or might not quite. Sentence 2: We can see right now. Little Scooter is taking minutes from Simons, who improves when he gets a lot of time. We should trade Scooter while we can still bamboozle another team. His trade value drops every month.
