I've always been in on him. He can't even buy his first legal beer until next month. Scoot is a BMFR and you will be eating tons of crow for years to come

Westbrook the better defender but Scoot is adequate.
Scoot will be the better shooter from deep.

    Thanks for the post

Not a high bar to clear. Russ would have been unstoppable if he shot the 3 ball well

Can we change the thread title to “Aldo needs to eat some crow about Scoot”?

Let's wait until he puts a month of solid play under his belt first.

Like, perhaps, the past 32 days' worth of games, which is slightly more than a month?

In January, Scoot has met what I think should be standards for a starting point guard in the NBA.

50 % shooting overall, 35% or better 3-point shooting, 2-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio and decent defense.

    He's slightly below a 2-to-1 assist/turnover ratio, at 1.84 to 1, but in his last 5 games it's been 2.29 to 1. (39 assists and 17 turnovers)

So, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is the baseline for a good point guard. Hey, nothing wrong with high standards:D

I probably meant 50% 2-point shooting. It doesn't make sense to me that a good player should make less than half of their 2-point shots.

SGA is at 60% on 2-pointers for the season.

More than Scoots scoring I just want to see him run the offense create easy opportunities for team mates and keep turnovers down. I also want to see some break out games where he might go for over 20-30 points.

Feel like game is finally starting to slow down for him so he’s showing all the signs of being a very good possibly great pg

Still rooting against one of our players because of your ego. That's what I'm talking about when I call you a sad and pathetic fan of this team.

When a fan roots FOR a player, is it because of the fan's ego?

And there are many on this board who root against the Sheed team. Ego?

I know this is a challenge for you but don't be ridiculous. Sheed did a lot of things that alienated some Blazers fans, I wasn't one of them, I loved Sheed's time here. What has Scoot done besides have one of the best attitudes I've ever seen from z player? He took time to adjust to the highest league in basketball.

Aldo decided to go negative as he always has and now he can't abandon that position. What reason do you think Aldo has to root against Scoot? The only reason is so Aldo is right in his never ending negativity about almost every aspect of this team.

This isn't critical thinking, it's pure idiocy... that's referring to both Aldo's position and yours defending him.
