To the best of my knowledge there are no circumstances under which a US citizen can be deported. Under extraordinary circumstances a naturalized citizen can be de-naturalized, this was done to some nazi war criminals who were then extradited to stand trial.
Yes, I agree that the idea is offensive to even consider. However, I'm not finding anything that specifically prevents it.
A U.S. citizen can lose their citizenship through expatriation or denaturalization. Expatriation is when a citizen formally renounces their U.S. citizenship, while denaturalization is when a naturalized citizen loses their citizenship. Expatriation Renouncing citizenship A citizen can renounce their citizenship in person in a foreign country before a U.S. consular officer. They must also sign an oath of renunciation and submit their U.S. passport. Entering military service in a foreign country A citizen can lose their citizenship if they serve in the military of a foreign country that is fighting against the U.S. Accepting employment with a foreign government A citizen can lose their citizenship if they accept employment with a foreign government after turning 18 Applying for citizenship in a foreign country A citizen can lose their citizenship if they apply for citizenship in a foreign country with the intention of giving up their U.S. citizenship Denaturalization Committing certain crimes A naturalized citizen can lose their citizenship if they commit certain crimes, such as treason, sedition, or failure to disclose criminal activities Being found unqualified for naturalization The government can discover that a naturalized citizen was not qualified for citizenship when they were naturalized
Reporter: Does your commitment to rebuilding Gaza extend beyond your time in office? Trump: I’m committed to buying and owning Gaza. As far as us rebuilding it, we may give it to other states in the Middle East to build sections of it. There’s nothing to move back into—the place is a demolition site. The remainder will be demolished. Everything’s demolished.
Yes, that's how it works now. Let's say you and 10 friends each get a bulldozer, if you were to take them to Mar A Lago and demolish everything that land would be yours and you could do what you want with it.
Getting caught up on his third grade level of communication is infuriating. You know what he means. Believe him.
If only we knew how Gaza was demolished! Maybe if there were people responsible they should pay for it to be rebuilt for the people who lived there? And they definitely shouldn't be making decisions about it. But from the way Trump talks about it I can only imagine that it was some natural disaster. (In which case Gavin Newsom is responsible.)
What's he going to do? Send the military in and attack Canada? Economic pressure is not going to make them choose statehood. We rely just as much on them.
I covered Canada for for nearly 30 years and most Western Canadians probably wouldn't oppose going the USA as they feel they have never gotten back fairness from Ottawa versus, what they contribute. They certainly liked the Cascade alliance concept.
