Okay, Scoot and Ayton likely out for at least a couple games? What's the lowest we can get in the lottery now if we went full tank?
Favorite guys out side the top 5 for Portland at this point.... Derik Queen - He Does as much special shit on tape as any guy in this class. Think he has the ball handling, quickness, passing and self creation to play the 4 alongside Clingan too Carter Bryant - Can never have enough Toumani Camara's.... Collin Murray-Boyles This one is a tougher sell...ideally you'd pair him with a guard who's more deadly as a pull up shooter. Also questionable fit with Clingan as a long term PF offensively unless the shooting becomes a things which seems unlikely. But I just really buy the combo of physicality, defense, feel and production across the board for his age.
Can one of you ESPN+ subscribers let us know what it says about our picks? https://www.espn.com/nba/insider/st...intel-all-59-first-second-round-picks-players
Egor Demin at 8 and we don't have Atlanta's 2nd as the standings sit right now (it goes to OKC 41-60)
I think the best we can do now is 8th, Chicago went full tank at the deadline. George and Embid both healthy now so should be able to pass them, but that's it.
You are probably right. Tonight will be a good indicator as they have a rematch with Detroit at home. Toronto is a possibility of catching us if they want.
What deal gave OKC the pick from Philly ? Really really hard to see how Joe can move up in the draft. Even losing every game from here on out. POR will still win some knowing this org.
I don't know that Toronto and Brooklyn are fully dedicated to the tank or can tank as well as we've learned to. Also Chicago have shown multiple times that their dedication to the tank waxes and wanes in the late season. I think we could have a legit shot at 5th if we went full tank. Feature Shaedon on some nights, feature Scoot on others, sit Tou and Deni on every game accept against fully healthy contenders. That being said, our front office doesn't seem to have an appetite for future success this year as much as they seem to be in need of eating the crumbs of a win here and there, so I doubt we have any better than the 9th spot in the lotto... that is unless Joe can pull both his head out of his ass and obviously at the same time pull the Vulcan's heads out of theirs.
I figure we're going to be 6 or 7. Of course, that doesn't mean anything but how many chances you have at No. 1.
So was dinner bell Mel Turpin. You can find great players throughout the draft. All you want is the opportunity to pick Oden and Bowie over Durant and Jordan
I've seen a lot of number 1 ranked prospects who are having a good season say this... and then declare for the draft anyway. Twon't happen. Dude will be in The Association next season, let's hope that we get lotto lucky and you're putting together highlight packages for him on the nightly.
