Looks like they are going with the big screen with lower angled screens inside for the people sitting down low. Very nice. All other arenas are now doing this.

Wait, I was told Jody Allen and the team doesn't spend any money fixing things up?

Tho I do wish the replay screen was bigger.

I think ownership deserves some love for renovations and upgrades as well as adding a G league team and keeping it in Portland as well as being part of the draw for a new WNBA franchise in Portland. Times are actually good for the direction of the team and signs that they aren't moving anywhere are always welcome! Go Blazers! Now let's go get a chip.

Isn't the stadium now owned by the city?

chairs and concourse updates need to be prioritized next.

blazers, nuggets and heat are the oldest arenas that haven't gone through major renovations (blazers the oldest of the 3).

PORTLAND, Ore. (February 19, 2025) – The Portland Trail Blazers are enhancing the fan experience at Moda Center with major videoboard upgrades set to debut ahead of the 2025-26 NBA season. The project is in conjunction with a new partnership with ANC, a dynamic, independent sports entertainment agency serving as the technology integration
partner. Designed in collaboration with long-time technology consultant Anthony James Partners (AJP), the project will transform in-game visuals and statistical displays across the arena. View renderings of the project HERE.

The highlight of the project is the transformation of the iconic HustleBoards and StatCentral displays – an innovative feature that set Moda Center apart when it opened in 1994 – will be upgraded to dynamic LED displays totaling 7,520 square feet of screen space, more than one and a half times the square footage of an NBA court. The new screens, alongside ANC’s LiveSync venue control software, will allow for more real-time in-depth stat displays, video displays featuring player personality videos, and in-game entertainment.

The upgrade features prominent videoboards in each corner with a ribbon board display between the two corners at each end. Each corner board will measure 24’ x 50’ and feature over a million pixels, with the ribbon screen also boasting a million pixels. Additionally, rear-facing LED screens will be added to the back of the new videoboards to ensure fans throughout the arena have clear views of game content.

The Moda Center’s center-hung scoreboard will be enhanced, increasing in size by 56% to 2,092 square feet of seamless LED display with more than 13.5 million pixels. The updated design features continuous screens from corner to corner and new underbelly displays will enhance visibility for courtside and lower bowl fans.

"We’re building on our legacy of innovation with these new dynamic endzone videoboards, designed to bring fans closer to the game than ever before,” said Dewayne Hankins, President of Business Operations, Portland Trail Blazers. “No matter where you’re sitting in the arena, you’ll now have an incredible view of every play, every highlight and every stat – taking the Moda Center experience to the next level.”

"As a basketball-driven city, Portland Trail Blazers fans never fail to deliver the energy at Moda Center. We appreciate partners who are just as passionate about improving their venue experience," said Jerry Cifarelli Jr., Chief Executive Officer of ANC. "The Trail Blazers’ investment in cutting-edge display technology will build on the franchise’s momentum and take the arena atmosphere to new heights this season. As their single-source solutions partner, ANC is thrilled to work alongside Trail Blazer management, ownership & AJP to help bring this transformation to life with a state-of-the-art display system, powerful software, and our year-round turnkey support.”

"AJP is exceptionally proud of our long-standing partnership with the Trail Blazers, dating back over 15 years to the design of the previous center-hung display in 2009—technology that has truly stood the test of time," said Michael Rowe, Chief Executive Officer of AJP. "Now, we're embarking on a distributed TV (IPTV) project and exploring future technology system upgrades, including broadcast control, audio systems, and more—all in continued support of the Trail Blazers' efforts to enhance the fan experience at Moda Center."

Yes. From my understanding the money the city makes on the parking garages etc goes toward improving the Moda Center now. Before the city kept that money for whatever it wanted.

    arena - not stadium :)

This article explains that the city owns everything the team used to own (land, buildings, etc.). So the Rose Quarter, Moda Center, Veteran's Memorial Coliseum are all now owned by the city. The city has to make certain upgrades and the Blazers have to play there until at least 2030.

Will you need to bring an antenna to watch the new big screens?
