Not SHOULD, but WILL. Of course, secondarily, I'm also interested in the SHOULD, but hopefully accompanied with the WHY.
last season, Portland ranked 23rd in defensive rating. This season, Portland ranks 23rd in defensive rating. And that's after getting 56 games from Avdija; 46 games from Clingan; and 20 games from Timelord vs 6 last season their defense has looked better lately. But in this 14-5 run since Jan 19, the Blazers have posted 11 of those wins against teams with losing records. And the 3 wins against teams with winning records came at home and of their remaining 22 games, the Blazers have 8 games against teams in the top-5 of offensive rating; 10 games against teams in the top-7. Half of their remaining games are against teams in the top-10 in offensive rating might want to see how the Blazers finish the season before gauging Chauncey's defense
I would give him another year and I think they will. Now, if someone came available, like say Spoelstra, you might take a shot to see if he would return to Portland. But as far as I can tell without being in practice, the younger players seem to like Chauncey and more importantly have all improved. But I would not give him a long-term contract like he probably wants.
I don't believe Billups is a good coach but at this point, rebooting the roster with Simons/Ayton/Grant/Timelord next season will waste another season, and that's probably what the Blazers will do, might as well have Billups captain the floundering ship
If you would've told me just a few months ago that I'd be agreeing with this I would have slapped your face. But here we are. (Although my "why" would be inculcating team spirit.)
I believe he is meaning they grew up playing against each other as kids and in HS. Thus the connection.
I knew this. I was trying not to be confrontational with a member of the greatest game in internet history
Like you and I have ties because we both….well, it’s the Lord’s day, so because we are both Blazer fans
