Assuming that we don't miraculously jump up into the top 4, there's an argument to be made that our (likely) 11th pick will be better used as a trade asset. Our friends @BonesJones and @hoopsjock have repeatedly alluded to that likelihood on their streams. What do y'all think about that possibility, and whom do you think would be a decent and realistic target?
Who are the stars who might be on the market? Zion Booker? Durant? Embiid? I'm curious about Zion's health. Is it just his conditioning or are his knees shot?
Has Zion ever missed time with a knee injury??? I thought his issues were muscle pulls and strains above the knee (quad, hammy, groin etc.).
I think he's redundant. We should make enough trades so our starting lineup is: Scoot Sharpe Toumani Deni Clingan
So he can sit all season and gain weight?? Nah, I'm good. Or maybe this needs green font. My meter is broken.
Redundant doesn't always have to be a negative. Actually, I like the direction of the team having so many guys like Barrett. They have different strengths offensively, but on the defensive end there's so much switchability that pick & roll offenses don't have nearly as much of an advantage as they normally do. Having a bunch of 6'6" to 6'9" guys that can guard 1 thru 4 (sometimes 5) is a pretty great foundation to build your defense from.
If we end up around pick 10 are we attaching it in a trade to trim some of the fat on the team or are we making the pick?
It's the only way to make this abomination of a season mean anything. Abject failure can be saved to just a medium failure with that.
