If the Rangers want to make the playoffs, this is a huge game. A loss and they'll be 2 behind the Sens and the Sens would have a game in hand. Then on Sunday they host CBJ at MSG. Really big weekend coming up against the two teams that currently are sitting in the WC spots, just ahead of the Rangers. If they lose both, stick a fork in them, have to win at least one, and how nice would it be to see them win both. Huge weekend!!!
Yes, on IR. They have been saying day-to-day for a week or so now. He is eligible to return whenever he is ready, but hopefully that happens with another team.
Lost in all the trade DL stuff, this is a huge game for the Rangers. If they lose it won't be easy to finish ahead of the Sens. Super important game.
This is the nut up of shut up game and sadly it’s AFTER the deadline. If they lose this one then when you look at the teams they’ve beaten since January 1, you start to see that we are beating the crap teams, but losing to playoff teams. The point against Washington was nice, but further proved that we aren’t good enough and should’ve been sellers. Is what it is now as we are stuck with what we got until summer, but if we want to try and show we “belong” this game is huge
100% agreed, and of course the Rangers aren't good enough and should have been sellers. Is what it is at this point, so might as well enjoy and hope for the best. Drury will be on the clock again in July, maybe the 10th time is the charm, and he'll finally realize some of the core guys (Pan/Kreider/Ziban/K. Miller/Fox) need to go, I doubt it, but one can hope. The D next year is set: Soucy/Fox, Miller/Borgen, Urho/Schneider - maybe they flip Soucy and Miller, but that's the 6, so get used to it. I was reading Soucy is viewed as a top 4 dman, which he really isn't, no surprise this was the plan, but so be it.
If you tried to draw up a way you'd expect the Rangers to blow it and lose, that was it. Once again not complicated, until they learn how to take the body, be responsible, and stop turning the mother f'ing puck over in their own zone, this team will never EVER EVER EVER win a Cup. All 3 of the Sens comeback goals were sloppy plays in their own zone and absolutely being allergic to taking the body.
