how is jokic not the obvious MVP?

on/off stats for that team are staggering w/Jokic. matched the eye test tonight.

Deni is an allstar, all NBA, franchise caliber player. The guy is amazing..and young on a great deal. Steal of the league and Toumani is right there with him on the steal level.

First time he's had a decent roster (outside of Damian).

I don't know, it kinda looked like him?

Didn't see Danny Young, but I only caught the tail end of the video clip just now.

Nuggets did win at Warriors without Jokic. They also lost at home to Wizards with Jokic.

Duop is playing hard and producing. Nothing wrong with a cheap athletic big that gives you boards, put backs and some 3s.

    I'll take both of them.

Deni and the Blazers needs as many high-level 2-way players as possible.

Nugz without the Joker, but the Blazers w/0 a load of players and still took the Nuggets to the woodshed. This is getting interesting.

If horrible shot selection was a stat he was one turnover away from a triple double

Suns have already beaten us in the head to head so the conference records won't come into play... if we're tied with them, they're playing in the play-in and we're staying at home.

I'd say he still has time to progress, guys get better all of the time after 24. I think he'll likely be an all star at some point during his career. He obviously has the ability to put up big numbers (not just scoring) against all sorts of teams.

I don't know if he'll be an all star a bunch of times or anything and before this tear that he's been on I'd have agreed with you but an NBA player capable at 24 years old, of going on a run of games like he has does not have to be just a high level role player. He still might end up as a "great high level role player" but I think that's his floor at this point, his ceiling is probably an all star and probably a guy who could make a few all nba teams.

That’s fair. His ceiling could be Manu which would be great. But I doubt he’ll ever be even 3rd team all nba. All star? Sure. 1 or 2 times maybe.

This team is good. It’s actually a perfect surrounding cast team for a superstar. It’s why i really REALLY wanted a solid chance at a top 2 pick.. Cooper Flagg ideally. Unfortunately I don’t see how we’ll ever have a superstar
