    This right here is why Portland won’t get a team. Small town thinking and not understanding the benefits to the economy. Had the Delta dome passed, how many jobs do you think an NFL franchise would have brought in?

    What most don't realize is that the city doesn't fund anything at the airport. The Port of Portland is a private entity, funded by airport terminal fees charged to the airlines. So all the upgrades to the airport are commissioned by and paid for by the Port of Portland. So I would assume that the people who run the airport believed these upgrades to be a worthwhile financial investment for the Port itself, irrespective of whether or not it's beneficial to the city.

    Always thought it was a good airport compared to many I've been in but the new additions make it absolutely beautiful and I never thought I'd say that about an airport of all places. Me and the wife were EXTREMELY impressed at Christmas time and figured it was complete, crazy to know there are still two more stages to the plans. Can't wait to see it when it's finished!

    Refreshing to get a real answer like this. It makes sense at least. Because if it was paid by the city or state etc it would make no sense whatsoever. I suppose I could have googled it but why when there are such knowledgeable and smart people right here.

    Not a troll. A 60 year old who’s been played by the city, the leagues and the billionaires his whole life.

    I really hope it happens, truly I do. However, the Rose Garden was built with hockey in mind. That was 30 years ago
