USF Women’s soccer finished up there spring season (friendly matches) 2-1.
The daughter finished with two goals and two assists in 270 minutes played. First time she’s ever played all 90, and she did a three straight games. Very proud of the kid.

She had a sick goal yesterday, I’ll probably share it in the off-topic thread, it beat Sacramento State 1-0. I told her the goal was awesome, and she said she was “pogba”
Not sure if that’s good or bad.

Second leg of CL Quarterfinals begin today

Aston Villa (H) vs PSG - First Leg 3-1 (PSG)

Dortmund (H) vs Barcelona - First Leg 4-0 (Barcelona)

Villa maybe has a chance to perhaps at least force extra time by making up the 2 goal difference in Full Time.

    Dortmund is cooked though…

Dortmund might not even win at home. I think Barcelona is looking like it might be their year to claim the CL title.

Im taking Villa over PSG (Rashford and Watkins will likely both start, with Watkins at in the center forward). I’m hoping Villa advance, but they will have to play their best football if they are to do so.

Tomorrow will be Arsenal @ Real Madrid with Madrid trailing by 3 goals.

Bayern Munich @ Inter Milan which Milan leads 2-1

Bayern Munich stands the best chance of a comeback of the 4 teams trailing after the first leg.

Europa and conference leagues in the following days.

Manchester United is even with Lyon at 2 goals a piece. (United conceded in extra time in the first leg). United is coming off of a 4-1 defeat against Newcastle in the EPL. Their focus is definitely on the Europa league, as winning the title looks to be their only hope of playing European conference football next year.

In English championship news; Things fell Leeds way again this week, and they found themselves back at the top of the table on goal difference. Nearing the finish line now, and I believe Sheffield United faces Burnley this upcoming match day. Not sure who Leeds play, but Leeds fans like @Rastapopoulos will likely be rooting for Sheffield United to win that match, as they are currently even on points with Burnley.

Edit: Sheffield United play Burnley on the 21st, they have a match with Cardiff on the 18th.

Leeds fans can enjoy Barca's success, as it is largely due to a player we sold them (who still has fond feelings for his old club), the great Raphinha.

So what is the Final Four matchups I saw already scheduled for the first couple days of June? Ohhhh those are countries, not teams. I think it’s Spain, Portugal, Germany and somebody else. What’s that about?

Wow, it’s on now in Birmingham as Villa have gone from being down 0-2 (1-5 on aggregate) to leading this match 3-2 (4-5).

This is a great match. Villa looking like they can tie aggregate up 5-5

That would be the UEFA Nations league. Think like a FIBA tournament for the European National teams.

    Germany VS Portugal

    Spain VS France

    Odds: +200 Spain; + 200 Germany; +275 France; +450 Portugal

Spain and Germany are favored because of all around talent, but France might have the best talent. Portugal has some solid players as well. It’s a pretty solid semifinals, but also not surprising.

Congrats bro, I think Leeds and Burnley will both fare better than Ipswich and Southampton. However I think anyone would probably fare better than Southampton.

There's talk of Farke being fired (and replaced by Jose "gigantic asshole" Mourinho) despite just getting more points in the Championship than the sainted Bielsa ever did. His history of getting Norwich promoted twice (three times?) only to fail instantly in the PL is being held against him.

If I'm honest, if the teams stayed exactly as they are and played the same way, I see Burnley as much more likely to survive than Leeds as they have focused on having an incredible defense rather than playing attractive football. However, Leeds will likely have much more money to spend - let's hope they spend it wisely, as their top guy has just been poached by Everton.
