We’ll regret this season for years down the line if we don’t get lucky and draft in the top 4. This outcome didn’t surprise me at all.
Didn’t quite understand the whole,”LET’S WIN” in the second half of the season around here. Damn this would have been THE year! I know nothing, but I bet we move away from the youth movement now.
How does Phoenix even have a 1st round pick....thought they traded all their picks for like a decade lol.
They don't, it's traded to Houston (via Brooklyn I believe). Not sure why it's being referred to as Phoenix's pick.
we hear this every year. Top 10 picks being straight up traded for vets is extremely rare and hard to pull off. The team wanted to trade the #3 pick in 2023 so badly and couldn’t get anything that good for it.
We were obviously playing to win at the end of the season which led me to believe we're trading the pick this season. I think trading for Toumani and Deni changed the approach to the draft. We're probably as young now as Joe wants to get and we have vets with trade value. I also wouldn't doubt if the Blazers were warned by the league against a fourth year of flagrant tanking. With Toumani and Walker drafted in the 50s, I think our scouts can find gems without the top 10 picks. If we lucked into the top 4 then no...we won't probably trade the pick
Those people are happy with making the play in. I'm tired of not feeling like a competitor. Inject the feeling of winning the lottery and having a chance at Oden into my veins again plz.
If there's a fan base and a franchise that doesn't need or deserve to get the #1 pick, it's San Antonio. If there's a 2nd one, it's Houston.
face the facts, ain't getting a high lotto pick this year. Pick 10 is it. hopefully a serviceable role player. Run 'er back Joe!!! My money is Flagg going to SAS, PHI, or BKN. Leaning SAS.
