I don't do a TON of shipping myself but my family does purchase things online regularly. Has anyone else noticed that there's been longer delays and issues with their packages being delivered on time in the past couple months? I know USPS has had reduced funding and staffing, so not really surprised there, but FedEx and UPS have screwed us around lately too. My most recent issue has been a package ($750 item) basically going missing with FedEx.

Ive had two Amazon orders that never showed up when you check track package it doesn't give any explanation other than running late. I cancelled both orders.
Sorry you are having an issue with an expensive package.
When I was in the distribution business we had big time problems with Fedex where we hardly had issues with UPS.

Yes, and also a lot more things getting “lost” in the mail.

My mother has a $90 order that hasn't showed up and tracking number is returning "undetermined" or something similar

FedEx is notorious for “losing” things in their distribution centers. My wife is a rep for scentsy and they have a contract through FedEx. I’d say 1 out of 10 packages she orders just disappears.

Amazon customer service can be rough too. Had a package that didn't show up and called about it. It was pulling teeth to get them to cancel it and refund me. The rep lied to me multiple times. Very frustrating.

I ordered butcher block conditioner for my counters from Amazon. Got delivered email but no package. Called them for replacement. They sent, mysteriously, phone cleaning cloths.

My package was at my neighbor's. She brought it to me.

Yeah, that's pretty much what's going on here. Weather delay in mid May? Sounds suspect. Also, "nan" as a status? What's that about?

Amazon has been hammering FedEx Ground with packages, and many delivery contractors either can't or won't expand their fleets and/or increase their work force. IIUC, Amazon tried to do the same to UPS, but the Teamsters strong-armed UPS into decreasing or eliminating Amazon's volume discounts.

At least two or three days a week, my FedEx driver has a truck so full of packages he can hardly move.

Plus, both carriers are now delivering actual furniture. Like sectional sofas, each piece weighing 130+ pounds.

And don't get me started on my UPS guy's comments on his loaders, lol...

You'd think pulling teeth would be one thing that Amazon is good at, judging by some of the sketchier delivery drivers I've seen, lol...

They did this with a brand new expensive computer monitor. They said they delivered it. I was home all day. I checked our cameras and I could see an amazon truck drive by our house at one point but they didn't stop at our driveway. So they sent a replacement. This time I was watching the camera and saw the truck drive by. I went outside and they were walking the replacement monitor up my neighbor's driveway. It's like they don't even look at the address. One of my neighbors must have gotten a super nice free monitor.

A lot of this delivery foo stems from the inhumane conditions Amazon drivers have to deal with in the truck. Some have to skip deliveries if they’re running behind to recover lost time spent delivering packages, and then redeliver later.

I had a picture of a delivered group of items from Amazon that were like $15. The picture was two houses down from me. That neighbor never brought them to me. Made me lose trust for them. I've had other neighbors that have brought me over misdelivered mail. I get that it happens, but if someone can't be honest and walk a package to you, not someone you want around you. Even asked them about it and they claimed it never happened.

Must be what happened with package Im waiting on. You know how you can see how many stops they are from your delivery, I check and it said two stops away and he was not even a 1/4 mail from me, watched him turn around and go the opposite direction and a bit later got, were sorry you're shipment is running behind, it was to be delivered yesterday am. Still know up date.

I saw a large box on my porch. Groceries. Definitely not stuff I would order. I knocked on a couple of doors. Belonged to woman next door. The only neighbor with whom I am not on good terms but I still wouldn't steal her groceries. And what would I want with two gallons of milk, a dozen bottles of water, rotisserie chicken?

With how much time us nerds spend over there I wouldn't think you'd need lotion.

    Bam!
