Nah, you got the wrong Texas team this time. If the Rockets got the first pick and the Spurs got the second that would be far far worse.

Dallas forth worth is a big market though isnt it?

And beyond Dallas, Texas has like 35 million people?
Id say in sports, Texas is a large market.

I was thinking similarly last night. Something should be done along the lines of, if a team makes the playin then whatever picks the team has that year cant be in the top four. If the team made the playoffs, they cant be in the top ten.

Wtf? Lol. And you’re trying to make fun of me????

Those of you who think there's no chance the lottery could be fixed are the same with heads in the sand regarding a great many things in the corporate greed world we live in.
But you keep thinking all is fair and greed doesn't run this country….
And if you know greed runs this country, then why so much pushback!
“Greed runs everything. But not the nba…”
look at the tv contracts advertising deals… anyone who thinks it isn't possible is out of their minds.

Dallas had first pick in WNBA draft. Clearly a conspiracy.

I know no one cares but does Dallas even consider trade for Giannis? Giannis, AD, Kyrie is likely favorites next couple of years

Luka has been getting fatter and fatter each year and that doesn't age well. Obviously the Mavs management had tried to get him to give a fuck, his actions showed he just didn't. Ownership had very real reasons not to want to resign him and tie their future to him... of course

After another torn ACL in March, very questionable Kyrie does much of anything next season

Those contracts expire next summer (2026).

As called by multiple posters when Grant resigned, they're stuck with him unless they trade him for another horrible contract just to rearrange the deck chairs. If they let those other contracts come off their cap following next season, even with resigning Sharpe they should have space for another sizable deal via FA. I don't think that player needs to be a star for this team to compete if their young core reaches their collective ceiling

prior to being drafted, Kobe let it be known via his agent that if his draft rights ended up with anyone besides the Lakers he would enroll at UNC and that team would lose his draft rights. This was openly spoken about prior to the draft and I heard interviews with several NBA GMs who were in the lotto confirming this including the Warrior GM Dave Twardzic & Nets Assistant GM John Nash... I also heard an interview with UNC coach Dean Smith saying the same thing. The NBA changed their rules following this to prevent it from happening again where now teams hold onto those rights

Sure, with players like Ayton. Williams, Simons, Grant, Thybulle. Guys that might not even be on the team next year.

If we won games playing our core and young guys together as many minutes as we could, then great.
