How did you come up with that? Multiple players have said Westbrook is a great mentor. One in particular plays for the Blazers currently.

Makes sense... Those are the largest and wealthiest markets and half of the teams in the conference come from one of those states...

Somebody tell Westbrook that the guy he beefed with at subway is actually his #1 fan.

This will be seventh consecutive year without repeat NBA champion, longest stretch in NBA history. And only one team from major market city.

Knicks won.last title in 1973, while we were watching Watergate hearings. Pacers won ABA title same year. Forerunner of Thunder, Seattle Super Sonics, won title in 1978, when yours truly was completing undergrad studies at University of Washington. Timberwolves entered league in 1989, along with Orlando, and have never been to NBA Finals.

Anyone but OKC. I still don’t like how Seattle lost the Sonics. I really miss that franchise.

Plus, their jerseys and logo are ugly and they have a ton of draft picks. Call me jealous, but whatever.

I'm a Duck & Blazer fan so I've been imprinted to hate all things Seattle. Doesn't help that the Seahawks' broadcasts almost always pre-empt better games each week and have for years.

anyway, it doesn't bother me that the Sonics moved to OKC; and I like well run organizations; OKC is certainly well run. Also, 48 years ago I got a speeding ticket on I-5 in Seattle on my way to see a girl friend in Bellingham...so fuck Seattle!

Fingers crossed Calabro heads back to Seattle sooner than later.

Such an intentional undersell on Westbrook as a brilliant defender, passer and a guy who rebounds for his position... which isn't "steal(ing) rebounds from teammates". If Scoot could learn how to use his physicality better from Russ, how to better pass the ball and select which passes to make from him, how to play shutdown defense from him and just how to compete on that level... that would make Scoot a much much better asset for our franchise.

No, I would not like Scoot to learn shot selection from Russ, specifically outside shot selection. The other notion in this post that is preposterous is that Ant or CJ have close to the BBIQ of Russ let alone demonstrably higher. First of all those two are mentally shit at half of the game whereas Russ is a very high IQ defender, second those two don't know how to pass or set up an offense to save their lives and Russ is one of the best at doing that during his time in the league. The idea that CJ and especially Ant have better mental abilities or IQ than Russ is ridiculous... Ant can't play defense or pass at a high level and he's one of the most athletically gifted guys at his size in the league. The only thing CJ has on Russ isn't even shot selection... it's just his elite shooting ability. The same can be said for Ant but only most years.

I'm not saying that we need Russ but having him wouldn't be a bad situation as long as Chauncey could help Scoot understand what parts of his game can benefit from being mentored by Russ. I do think some of that stuff could be gleaned just by watching tape or maybe even working out with Russ but again, let's not try and act like Russ isn't an all time great who has a glaring weakness of outside shot selection which may be the only reason why he isn't in the conversation for GOAT PG along with just not having an elite jumper.

It’s cool that the OKC fans actually all wear the free shirts. It looks great on TV.

Last time was the Sonics and the Jazz. The Michael Jordan Bulls ended up beating the Sonics in the finals, starting Jordan’s second trilogy of championships.

You look at that box and you see exactly how to beat OKC. SGA was 10-27 with 14 trips to the line making 11. Denver made Williams beat them. He did once as he had a great game but he is not going to get the same calls that Shai will get.
