Honestly I would prefer that to this bizzarre trust arrangement. Really it would be Jody who buys the team - Bert doesn't have any relevant cash. But yeah maybe she puts Bert in as the governor. Strongly hope we get different owners though. Sure they could be horrible and we could have the 30th ranked ownership group instead of 26th or whatever Jody/Bert are.
I don't think Jody is interested in buying the team. If she was going to do that she would just have the sale documents signed, and announced as done for the NBA to give its final approval. She controls all the parties so there is no negotiations needed, just need some valuations and such that would be privately done. The public announcement of the team being for sale is to solicit bids from other parties.
