The Beavers won a game in the postseason and the Ducks didn't. What does that mean? I don't follow baseball that much.
Depends. To some it means the Ducks are bad at baseball, to others it means the Beavers are good at a sport no one cares about when programs win titles.
I don't pay much attention to baseball, but from what I did observe, the Ducks' pitching was suspect all year and it bit them hard in the regional
That's exactly what happened. Beavers bats came alive finally and they got a win. They also got that win with a freshman on the mound for 7 innings. That was a huge win. Now if they can get 6-7 out of Segura they will be set for a two game series but it all depends on the bats.
Nice win for the Beavs! Need to win 2nd of the doubleheader now tonight! Beavs win and it's winner takes all tomorrow. USC wins tonight and Beavers season is over. Beavs did as well as they could of yesterday and today saving their pitchers so hopefully they have enough to go against USC while having played an extra game.
Florida State won their regional so sure they're rooting for USC. Florida State would travel to Corvallis in super regional but would host USC. Lot of national seeds have lost this year.
Hell of a relay throw in the bottom of the first for the Beavs to throw out USC at home with 0 outs. Top of the 2nd Beavs score twice on back to back safety squeeze ... End up with 4 runs in the inning with 4 bunts.
