Up in Alaska the most popular way they eat their halibut is baked and smothered in mayo. It’s surprisingly delicious

Sounds incredible. I'll have to give it a try sometime.

Mayonnaise is utterly revolting. I refuse to allow it iny kitchen.

Sometimes cook fish wrapped in grapevine leaves or fig leaves, whichever there is more of in garden.

Today spatchcocked spice rubbed chicken. Pick some peas to lightly steam.

I've been doing it that way my whole adult life. Usually do mayo, fancy mustard (Beaver brand), dill, lemon juice/zest, minced garlic, seasoning. Lemon slices on top add a nice finished look.

If I'm feeling like Asian style I do soy sauce, grated ginger, miso, sesame oil and seeds, and a bit of good ol' siracha.

    I love salmon.

Mayo is delicious. Miracle whip is disgusting.

I love Mayo. I don't mind miracle whip. But definitely prefer Mayo.

Working on Black Pearl cake for client. Lots of components. First step ginger and vanilla bean in hot syrup. Strain and minced ginger. Three layer chocolate cake, fairly standard except the minced ginger from the syrup added. Made ganache with powdered ginger and bit of Wasabi for slight background of heat. Add black sesame seeds. Assembly tomorrow. Brush layers with ginger syrup and fill with ganache. Frost whole thing with whipped cream. So it looks like just white but cut open three chocolate layers and all the blended flavors.

Downside of making cake and pie for clients, I don't get to taste them.

Just took a sourdough loaf of bread out of the oven. Got sourdough hamburger buns rising currently. And finished up bagels last night.

I have sourdough in freezer. Federal starter this weekend. It's older than most NBA players.

BTW I need a good hamburger bun recipe, don't like the ones I tried. Could you message me yours?

I've got them holding in the fridge, and pulling them out to bake tomorrow night. I'll sample them before passing along the recipe, in case they're no good as well!

That's awesome you've had a sourdough starter going that long. I hope to keep mine up that long. I'm always worried about it going in the fridge, so I just bake bagels and bread every week.

This week's cookies are lime bars. Put toasted coconut on half since not everyone likes coconut.

    Whole lotta fermentation going on.

Milk becoming yogurt in Instant Pot.
Sourdough bread rising in toaster oven proof setting.
Replenished sourdough starter bubbling on counter top.
