Somebody said that the point of all this is not actually to stop illegal immigration (if that was the point you would target the companies that employ them) but to make them easier to exploit. A scared workforce can be made to work for practically nothing, an old Trump tactic.
Just talked to my friend in LA. Heavily armed Gestapo turned Home Depot to war zone. Things have quited down tonight but expect more roundups and bigger responses tomorrow. Not even pretext of worst of the worst, rapists and drug dealers and criminals. The people who backed Trump thinking he would get criminals out of the country saying we didn't vote for this shit.
