Philly is in a pickle. Personally I'd just blow it up. Trade Embiid. I really don't see a path for them to contend with him. I'd use the #3 pick and try to get what I could for their star. But.... if they're still committed to trying to win with him, I don't see a lot of options for them. George is a bust. They need more rotation guys. I don't know if Ant is the guy though.... Grant could be useful to them. There might be some kind of combination that makes sense.
I could see them trading #3.... but it's not going to be for Grant or Simons. Personally if I'm them I just draft BPA and evaluate in the season. If Embiid looks great and is more healthy maybe you trade for a vet in December or at the deadline. If Embiid is bad or hurt just rebuild with the youth, and in that case eat PG deal as your not winning soon anyways. Not every team needs major trades at all times like some fans want. Philly is an ideal team to wait and see since so much of their direction can change depending on Embiid.

Yeah, again, I think they should blow it up personally. With that said, I have no idea what Morey wants to do. If he wants to give it another try with Embiid, they don't have a lot of options.
[ I do too. I would build around the speed of Maxey and Edgecombe. I doubt Embiid could keep up, so I would trade him now. He absolutely has a ton of trade value. Regardless of whether they draft VJ or Ace, they could rebuild quickly.
Hell yes! He just turned 22. His 3 pt shooting is improving and he excels at the midrange stuff. He has a quick first step which is all he needs to get a slight advantage so he can elevate to get a good look in the mid-range. With his length, he can get a good look most of the time. I want to see more of his defensive tape, but he seems to move well and is a hell of an athlete...and he's only 1 year older than DC, Rupert and Scoot, younger than Jabari and Murray, and same age as Shaedon. My only question would be where he fits in the lineup or who he might bump from the starting unit.

I too would trade Embiid and PG if I was Philly. Get as many assets as you can. Build around Maxey, Mccain and the 3rd pick. You probably will suck next year too to get another piece. Someone would be willing to offer a haul for Embiid even if he only has 2-3 years left.

Trading Embiid or George for assets would help a rebuild and make sense. Trading them just to "dump" #3 is basically the pure opposite of what they should do. #3 along with Maxey/McCain are their key pieces to rebuild. If would be idiotic to just dump one of those. What would Philly gain by unloading George contract if they are rebuilding? If their rebuilding they don't need cap space nor have luxury tax issues so I don't see the problem with keeping either or both of them. I mean sure if they can get an asset for trading them away then do it. But if not they should just keep them and hope they gain some value with a bit of good health or such.
I don't know if I'd want to send out this year's FRP for him because I think the idea should be getting as many young players as possible right now, so we have the best chance of building a roster like OKC's. So for me something like Rob, our 2031 FRP with no protections and maybe even a future SRP would make more sense for both teams... assuming it's not part of some massive multi team deal. As far as who Smith would bump, I think you could platoon him with Clingan at starting C if Ayton is gone. That gives you a lot of mobility and perimeter O at the 5 so we can really dictate the mismatch instead of the other team getting to if Clingan is the full time starter. I also think if you're playing Smith at a forward spot that Tou has shown he's very effective playing at SG next to either Scoot or Shaedon. For sure every game you'd want Jabari Smith Jr. to get starters minutes if he's on the roster and I think there are a number of routes to get him those minutes.
probably but it's possible to start Camara at SG bumping Sharpe to the bench. Draft Demin and then the Blazers could be: PG - 6'9 SG - 6'8 SF - 6'9 PF - 6'10 C- 7'2 (yes, in this fantasy Clingan starts over Ayton because Ayton was traded)
I think, at least in terms of personnel, Cronin and Schmitz have earned the benefit of the doubt with what they do. Unless one wants to speculate on trades you think they should have made that might not ever have been on the table, they haven't really missed badly, except maybe with Murray (the book's still out on Rupert). Sharpe looks like an ascending player. Other than maybe taking Amen Thompson, Scoot keeps looking better. Clingan was better than I expected. They got a second-team all-defensive player as a throw-in in Toumani. They got Jabari with the next-to-last pick. They got Banton and Thybulle essentially for nothing. They got Deni for a bottom-of-the lottery draft pick in a middling-to-weak-looking draft. They found Reath under a rock. They added a couple of players that could be assets in a couple of ways in Ayton and Timelord, and they've added a handful of future picks. There's reason to be optimistic that whatever they do with this pick will make the Blazers better. Their track record says as much.
