CJ played his best basketball in Portland. Not sure the culture in NO was ever a great fit, it just didn’t work out. Hope it works out well for him in Washington. HCP, do the Wizards need a new arena more than anyone else? I went to a Mystics match there years ago and it seemed out dated then. Kind of weird, you almost wouldn’t even know it was a sports arena the way it’s located.
He's on an expiring deal - I'd say odds are he gets flipped to a team trying to win before camp. He wont be anyone's first choice but could have value to a team that strikes out on other moves. Worst case he has to play with the Wizards until February. He either gets traded or a buyout and then jumps onto a contender. If we have an injury or such perhaps we try to get him back to face the Nuggets in the the WC Semis?

You are saying the Wiz played their young players more than the Blazers played theirs. Looking at the minutes from both teams, I don't see much of a difference. Unless you are talking about our young players, no one cares about.
looking at MPG, their top two are young players. Three of their top 5 are part of their young core. Meanwhile you have Portland where Simons and Grant occupy two of the top three spots. Scoot and Deni should be a lot higher.
Washington's top 3 young players: 33, 30, 27 Portland's top 3 young players: (Sharpe Tou, Scoot) 33, 32, 27
I do, I just wasn't sure you did. Deni 30-minute game. You got to admit it is pretty damn close between the two teams in terms of minutes for our young cores.
Difference is Washington dumped Kuzma at the deadline. We have Grant until 2028. Other vet Washington has was just sent packing in Poole. CJ probably is gone before camp but if not certainly by the deadline. I mean yeah we dumped Ant - but we brought in Jrue on a $100 million deal and are leaving Shae/Scoot both benched. In Washington those two would've been starters last year - likely leading the team in minutes as well as key offensive roles.
we're just talking about last year, Blazers versus wiz in terms of giving their top young players minutes. next year is a different story where we don't know who's gonna be on the team.
