What players have similar contracts to Grant with 3 more seasons? I think it will be very tough to get a team to take on his deal for extra years - but a similar contract you might be able to get someone on the Blazers more accepting of a backup role.

I’d rather pay him to stay away from the team than give up number 11 to move him in a salary dump. Honestly I don’t even want him off the bench. How the fuck can you be that tall and get so few rebounds.

Reaves was in his 4th year. Shaedon had a better 3rd year than Reaves.

Sprague on the radio just said “there is a deal in place for Grant”

take that for what it’s worth

that would be great to get our pick back.

I can’t help but think about the fact that the books have us as the favorite to land rj Barrett.

Sportsbooks are always the most accurate

Would assume we need to send something else to the Raptors but what? #11 is too much... Maybe we send them a swap some year.

For Chicago it makes sense as #11 could be quite a bit better than a pick in the 15-30 range. For us it helps clear up that future pick debt. We have quite a bit of youth now so #11 isn't critical. They really have a pretty clean cap sheet so might not be worried about the extra 2 years on a Grant deal. If they or other teams view Grants contract as highly negative we're probably just stuck with him.

Timelord is probably the vet I'm most happy to have on the roster next season. Thybulle would be second. I mean if we need to throw them into a trade or can get any value for them sure go do it. If not both guys are great to have on the roster. Timelord when he played has been a huge difference maker. Great defensively as well as elite efficiency on offense inside. Total team first player. Won't take any minutes or stand in anybodies way. Yeah he is always injured but if so then he just cheers from the bench.

So glad we broke up the AytonGrantAnt big3. Hoping we can dump another third soon or maybe just move past the whole damn thing.

Ayton and Timelord being available back to before last trade deadline might show there just isn't any market for them and they stay put.

Love the guy but he can't stay healthy, I can't remember did he have yet another knee surgery late this season? How much more can his knees take?

Yeah I believe meniscus knee surgery. Should be fully "recovered". Yeah I certainly wouldn't resign him. But his injuries are why he probably has no trade value - so just let him play out his time here. Its a free roll gamble that he gets healthy for a stretch. If so then its a huge win. Most likely he does not - then we move on from him after the trade deadline.

    Interesting....

I heard a few rumblings about TOR and of course there was the Barrett noise from a week ago (which @SharpesTriumph illustrated above), but it seems there are at least a couple of teams that are interested in Grant. What they would give up in a trade won't likely be very much though.

I have listened to a few of his podcasts with marang sporadically, he doesn't seem like someone who would have inside info

he did predict steph curry to be the best player of his draft, so there's that

I streamed their radio show for a few minutes - just some guy their interviewing with the worst cell phone connection ever. They even said he sounded like a robot and let him continue to talk in incoherent gibberish. Great interview!

I think most of us would be happy to see him go with a no pick cost if that is possible, probably a similar contract/player
    coming back

Assuming Jrue is NOT re-routed I would think they might have a deal in place for either Grant and/or Ayton but that is just a guess at this point. Also not to mention Thybulle but i think that would be trading one player for another maybe a 2nd rounder similar to the Jrue Trade but who knows that is what makes this time exciting.
