I have a cousin who lives in Idaho (wasn't from there, moved there), and he said something interesting. Like Oregonians and Washingtonians, they hate Californians. BUT what they really hate, more than anything is just people not from Idaho. And in the area he lives, if you're not Mormon, it's even worse.
As much as some Oregonians bitch about Californians, I think most are still nice to them. I think rural towns bitch more about Portland than California.

I would agree, for the most part, that Portlanders don't honestly care. And not just because there's enough of them in the region that they've taken over. We just got more important things to worry about. Like where I am going to get my oat milk latte

I'm sure it's some kind of revenge thing. These people (and yes, I'm saying "these people") usually have limited brain power and associate things based on dates. If you ever feel the need to kill brain cells, go down those rabbit holes and see how often they try to connect dates with things, or think the dates or numbers are codes for something else. I.e., the 88 which H is the 8th letter in the alphabet, so 88 = HH (not to be confused with Hulk Hogan, who himself is a whole other shit stain). Throw into that a lot of mental illness and rabble rousing done by the right, and you have a recipe for this kind of shit. These aren't the brightest people in our society, but we don't want to do anything about it.
This makes me mad… I know somebody that fly’s helicopters to fight wildfires. His job takes him around the world doing so. He’s actually not even in the states right now, over in Turkey. But by talking with him Ive learned about the wildfire fighting business. A lot of times in small places people are basically volunteer firefighters. A lot of times when there are wildfires in our area, the people fighting them are people taking part time jobs as firefighters. Doing it seasonally either along with their full time job, or in downtime to supplement their wages if their other work is seasonal too. What a brutal job… Incredibly physically demanding, very dangerous. You gotta be a real p***y to target this demographic. I’d put it in the top of the list behind people which target schools.
