I would put money on that we finish 13th or higher.

If nothing changes, I think we will be pretty decent this year.

    1. OKC
    2. Houston
    3. Nuggets
    4. Lakers
    5. Clippers
    6. T Wovles
    7. Spurs
    8. Grizzlies

The Warriors are pretty mediocre. I think we can compete with them for 9th or 10th. I think we will be battling it out with Golden State, Dallas, ands Sac for those 9th and 10th spots. I don't see 14th at all.

    Kings suck
    Mavs are injured
    Suns are garbage
    Pels are a joke
    Jazz are tanking again.

    Teams I think are clearly better than us;
    1 OKC
    2 Houston
    3 Denver
    4 Wolves
    5 Warriors

    Teams I expect to be better than us but wouldn't be surprised if we we're better than;
    6 Spurs
    7 Mavs
    8 Clippers
    9 Lakers
    10 Grizz

Teams I think are worse than us
    12 Suns
    13 Kings
    14 Pels
    15 Jazz

I think the Mavs health is going to be such a massive question mark this season.

My take is thunder, rockets, nuggs, t-wolves, clippers, and l*kers are the top six and should be safe from the play-in. Blazers, warriors, grizzles, kings, mavs, & spurs are the teams fighting for the play-in. So we at worst are 12th. I also think we have a shot just because some of the teams we will be fighting with are on the down swing (warriors) or injured like the mavs. I also don't think the kings and grizzles have done anything to actually improve themselves.

Yeah I wouldn't be shocked if Dallas had HCA or missed the playin.

Spurs are another team. I could easily seeing them click and get HCA. Or their young players could have major growing pains and Wemby gets hurt again.

Lakers losing DFS for nothing hurts more than most realize. That team really lacks two way players. LBJ at his age can't defend and Luka needs defenders. Reaves can't defend. Ayton isn't going to help their D. Might start to panic with Luka able to walk next summer.

warriors won 48 games last season and only had Butler for 30 games. They were 22-8 with Butler which is a 60 win pace. Yeah, eventually father time will catch up to Curry-Butler-Green, and it might happen next season. But I'd estimate they won't be worse than last season.. I'd pencil them in as a 7-8th seed

Suns, Pels, and Jazz are the bottom dwellers....unless you believe that Zion will play 70 games like he did 2 years ago; Pels won 49 games that season

Kings? who knows. Sabonis-LaVine-DeRozan-Monk-Murray is decent talent, but Kings find lots of different ways to fail

I said 9th seed in that other poll. Seems kind of reasonable +/- one seed slot

We have a team, as currently constructed, a Sharpe breakout season away from top 8 West

Id bet the over on the Blazers. Id put it at least at 38-44 if I had to make a conservative line. Being 2.5 wins below last season 36 doesn't make sense. Ayton was zero impact to wins last year and Ant wasn't in a good role. Our offense might struggle but our defense will be amazing. With Deni/Sharpe/Scoot/Grant I think we'll be able to generate more offense than the injured Orlando Magic did.

Now it's hard to pick teams above us that were better than. Sacramento is the only clear one IMO. But odds are 1-2 of those teams majority disappoints. Much more unlikely the Blazers disappoint than it is a few teams in the field do.

Crazy that 13 and 14 teams in the west don't own their pick at all even if #1 overall. Think they'll try hard all season. Whatever teams are near them will give up and finish below them.

I hate both those rosters so can't imagine betting on them but might have to pick the over just because they will try 100%

Lakers Id bet under. Either Luka or LBJ get hurt and that roster is a disaster. Luka doesn't have guys that compliment his game like he did in Dallas.

Boston and Philly is bet under.

I think I predicted 38 wins last year and nearly got it. I’ll predict 38 again this year and hopefully be two wins low.

+475 for the Blazers to make the playoffs. -700 to miss it.

That is bet $100 and you get $475 profit if the Blazers make the playoffs.
If you bet $700 for the Blazers to miss the playoffs you profit $100 if that happens.

At first glance I thought I liked that $475 payout. But thinking about it more that only would be if the Blazers finish top6 (pretty unlikely) or win 1-2 playin games.

I probably expect us to make the playin but lose.

Think I lean towards liking all of the Grizzlies/Clippers/Lakers to miss the playoffs with them having -150/+200/+320 odds respectfully. West is going to be a blood bath and Clippers/Lakers both have a very realistic chance to get left out. Celtics +235 I sort of like too - although the East is so freaking weak.

    Odds the Blazers finish at or above these win totals;

    30wins -300 (bet 300 to win 400)
    35wins +100 (bet 100 to win 200)
    40wins +280 (bet 100 to win 380)
    45wins +750
    50wins +1800

Yang Hansen with the 100-1 payout on ROTY... so bet $100 and win 10k if he gets it?
