I love seeing people crack on players once they leave. TRUST me we will be missing DA this season. If you are expecting Clingan to produce while sitting on the bench with 2 fouls 5 minutes in….and god knows who his backup will be. Should be fun.

the US has a lot more to worry about than an NBA contract. Climate change; tariff wars, fentanyl, trans athletes, communism, medicaid, Disney World, Taylor Swift, killer bees

    j/k

Are you saying you like Grant for $35m/per over Vanderbilt for $15m/per or you like Grant more regardless of salary? Does this make sense?

    Yes.

Grant has been a very good three point shooter. He can play both forward spots. He's a decent defender. His biggest wart is lack of rebounding. What does Vanderbilt bring?

We aren’t winning more games without him this year. Maybe developing our young guys on a faster track, but we’d win more games with Ayton in the team.

There’s always that guy who has inflated view of what he does on the court. Ayton is that guy, no matter how many coaches, players or videos he sees of him not doing something he thinks he is doing it. Coached many players who you can literally show tape of them not setting screen, not blocking out, or not giving effort and they will still argue.

seeing literally no team interested in him in trade and only few teams interested in him at discounted rate speaks volumes of what teams think of him. His stats will improve playing with Luka and Bron but empty stats they won’t win championship with him.

When we got him I really thought coming to new team he might mature and realize his potential, I was wrong

Should give the youngsters more time and its probably best for Ayton too.

What exactly will we be missing? Come on man, it was also documented of his issues in PHX.

Ayton was playing good during the 10-1 stretch, but what about the rest of the time?

you talk about people trashing players on the way out and here you are trying to trash Clingan about his fouls when he was playing 25-30 mins a game for a large portion towards the end of the season.

    Ayton stats last season .

    • PTS - 14.4 - REB - 10.2 - AST - 1.6 - BLKS - 1.0 - FG% - 56.6 per 30 mins a game with 2.2 fouls per game
Clingan started 37 games for us last year as our starter -

    PTS - 7.9 - PTS - 10.0 REB - 1.6 AST - BLKS - 2.1 - FG% - 52.6 per 24.5 mins a game with 3.2 fouls per game

So we lose points, but gain blocks and defense, big time!

This was also Clingan first year in the league as a rookie learning the NBA pace.

I don't see the route you're talking when saying "TRUST me we will be missing DA this season other than his 6 more points per game than Clingan

last season, when the Blazers were actually trying to win every game, the team was 17-23 (.425) with Ayton; and 19-23 (.452) without him. The team had a 36-46 record (.439). Blazers were 17-20 (.459) with Clingan as the starter

    so:

    .459 - Clingan as starter
    .452 - without Ayton
    .439 - overall team record
    .425 - with Ayton

doesn't really support the notion that Portland would win more games next season with Ayton
