How do you measure an NBA fan base in this day of the internet? Cant be just how many seats are sold.
It would buy into the same fallacy some fans here try to push. The majority of Seattle fans do not like the Blazers. Even if they air our games there. If we moved to Seattle there is zero chance I would continue rooting for the team. I would probably abandon NBA Fandom altogether.
They would be banking that renaming the team the SuperSonics would bring back the fans there, and enough Portland fans would stick with the team. Eventually the younger generation wouldn't remember or care.
Good lord you paranoid Patty's. Stop torturing yourselves with this BS of the team moving. IT WILL NOT HAPPEN!
a link to the story would be nice Nate cause without it just looks like your stirring the pot of the Blazers moving. I am waiting Nate ....
my bad -- your right -- let me go read now This is about teams wanting to protect there money IF i am reading this cause they feel if another team or two enters the league then the TV money will be split with them too. Now there could be more to it but that is my read on things and again IF you see this and get worried about the Blazers moving -- your just stupid at this point.
Damn FAMS! To call someone out and then spell shit wrong. Ain’t no coming back from that. Gonna’ affect/effect you for sure.
It's been reported that Adam Silver said at the team owners/presidents meeting recently that they are in the process of building a 30 team league. Expansion is a sure thing. The Blazers are not moving. End of story.
We will hear more on expansion in the next couple of hours when they get out of their meeting. It sounds like some owners are pushing back because they do not want to share the media revenue.
