Well considering there isn’t anything to play for (risk of injury) of course they shut Hansen down, those future ripcity remixers cook!

Credit where credit is due: Rayan Rupert

Rayan only played 3 games and had one 'stinker', but overall, shot .625 from the field, .700 from '3', and .857 from the FT line. He is the leading rebounder at 5.8 rpg and added 2.8 assists and 1 steal per game. He was aggressive in games #1 and #3 with a pretty empty game 2. But his efficiency is off the charts for the time he put in.

    Well done.

I can't imagine there is an age limit. Duop Reath played on our team two years ago.

Time to give him minutes and move Thybulle. Which is what I've been saying all offseason. For some reason we fall in love with 9th men that are what they are instead.

I thought about that....but didn't think about it much. Majerle was first who I thought about when I watched Knueppel play. Hornacek was similar but smaller

if Portland is trying to win and make the play-in, they'll keep Thybulle. Rupert is still miles away from being as good

if Portland is pretending to try to win, then they might be able to get a decent draft asset (or two) for Thybulle from a true contender. Problem is finding an expiring contract for expiring contract trade

the way this summer has gone so far it would not surprise me if Cronin tried to re-sign Thybulle next summer

Since he didn't play much last year after coming back from injury, they'll need to play Matisse to move him for anything of value. Maybe that can happen at the trade deadline and then Rupes can get some run... thats my guess as to how they play it

    Feel bad for Derrick Queen.

Not only is he overweight, but everyone calls him "Dairy Queen". Now, instead of working on his game and his body, he'll be rehabbing all summer. On top of all of it, he'll also miss training camp - which I view as a disaster for him.

I'll always compare him to whoever Atlanta picks next year.

Anybody got any players (on any team) that popped to them? I've got a couple

Nique Clifford (Kings) - if the Kings win SL he'll probably be MVP. What impressed me most was his PG skills. Kings needed some luck and it fell into their lap.
Brooks Barnhizer (Thunder) - he's that "hustling white forward" who annoys the FUCK out of you when he's on the other team. Cheesy little mustache and flails all over the place but racks up steals and surprisingly effective.
Nicola Topic (Thunder) - the reason I paid attention to the Thunder, because I wanted us to draft him last year. He's got great court vision and, for a goofy looking guy (goofy-shaped head, goofy haircut, definitely goofy super-upright way of running) he can get to the rim any time he wants.
Enrique Freeman (Pacers) - continuing a theme, a guy that intrigued me last year. A stat-stuffing PF.
David Jones-Garcia (Spurs) - who is this guy? Where did the Spurs find him? He certainly killed it in Vegas.
Pelle Larsson (Heat) - a guy that worked out for us when he came out and that, yes, I wanted with one of the later second rounders that we straight out dumped. Really looking like a solid wing.
Cam Spencer (Grizz) - AKA "shorter, older Kon Knueppel"
Jamal Shead (Raptors) - AKA Kyle Lowry without the offense.
Collin Murray-Boyles (Raptors) - looked a bit shaky on offense in a couple of games but just controls games when he's in. He'll be top five in this draft when they do the inevitable "redrafts"

In general, a lot of names that looked good in pre-draft scrimmages for 2024 are cropping up here.

Sub category: Redemption guys (who needed to put up and did)
Ron Holland (Pistons) - looking like he could live up to his draft position
Cody Williams (Jazz) - night and day from last year
Kyle Filipowski (Jazz) - he was looking so good I wouldn't be surprised if they had extra reason to trade Markkanen.

    Sad Trombone Guys:
Reed Sheppard (Houston) scored a lot because he shot a lot more
Yves Missi (Pelicans) absolutely should be better than this in SL
Dalton Knecht (Lakers) will this finally make all the Knecht fanboys on this forum STFU?

Yeah at the end of the day, it’s not really going to hurt Scoot if Dame starts a year but I’m mostly concerned about how he feels about the team. Will he feel slighted or abandoned?

Team traded away Ant and Dame won't play for a year. I mean are there even 5 other NBA teams Scoot would start on today? Think he needs to worry about how he plays not a couple of old guys nearing 40.

Dame didn't worry about Mo Williams being brought in.
