Great presser and it's a great day to be a Blazer! Happy to see Dame be so transparent and also put to rest this thought that he and Joe didn't like each other. I always thought that was probably horseshit.
Honest question, with Dame coming back now if we could turn Jrue into RJ would you do it? Obviously picks and salary would be included.
The Jrue trade has been official. There is nothing for him to sign. We inherit his contract because it was a trade and we saw the video of him reporting to the team at the PF.
I think there is. I know why Ant hasn’t been introduced and I’m starting to think the same thing is going on with Jrue. One, I don’t think Jrue wants to be on a rebuild and second I think Dame being bought out changed some things for PDX. No way was the plan to grab two 35 year old PGs this offseason. I understand Dame isn’t playing this year.
I think the Kings make a lot of sense for Jrue actually. The Lakers just picked up Smart and I think Jerami still makes sense for them. I'm sure a lot of people here wouldn't but I would do Jerami for Vanderbilt, Vincent and Kleber... I think the Lakers would do that too. If we cut both Kleber and Vincent... Vanderbilty is on a manageable contract for the next three seasons (under the full MLE) and he doesn't have any expectation when it comes to PT.
Yep. Said he was excited to be on a team with and named the four guys in our young core (Scoot, Shaedon, Toumani and Deni). I think he mentioned Scoot a second time when he talked about how those four share the ball, said something about Scoot having it going one night, Shaedon another and Deni a few nights after that... or something. No drama to see here @inconceivable
Well Jrue has a locker already...we'll see if they flip him. I don't want to trade him to the Lakers...I want the Lakers to suck
They sure talked a lot about Jrue mentoring Scoot on defense and Dame mentoring him on offense like they had hired two coaches for him.
