Made a ton of money with sub prime auto loans. He's not a big spender in the NHL.

Rumor has it that he wants to keep Kolde involved with the team for his experience and expertise. And by rumor, I mean me looking for a punchline about the optimism fans will have because of the change in ownership.

Thats fair. Curious. On average, how many all nba(3tiers?) players are on championship teams? Im guessing 1-2?

Also, would you consider all defensive team an all nba team? Or strictly the all nba team?
if including all defensive teams, then maybe 2-4 on a championship team?

We have one in Camara already.

According to a 2025 ranking, Dundom ranked as the 10th best owner in the NHL, so there is that

Considering i butted in and only read the latest page at the time, it wasn't obvious to me. :)
But i get the gest now.
Though i do believe there are 50-60 stars, i understand that isn't what is being discussed. It’s all nba players(why not say just that?)?

I am not convinced we don't have a star-as being discussed-on our roster, if given proper growth.

2004-05 nearly broke me as a fan. It felt so hopeless and locals who weren’t hardcore into the team actively hated them.

Not a fan of him being a cheapskate about fan-friendly accessibility stuff like radio broadcasts and what not. Not a huge fan of win now dick-swinging when we have a team full of young guys. Coming from my position as a local lifer who likes seeing a team grow into itself, this is probably worse than if he hadn’t bought the team. But whatever I’m sure the manly men will appreciate his no nonsense horsehit.

I believe strongly that the Blazers are going in the right direction. A turnaround would be going in the wrong direction. I prefer they continue to go in the right direction. Also, continuity is very important. I hope he doesn't have an ego that will cause him to fuck shit up just to get his fingerprints on it.

I wonder if he’s gonna shit can the GM/Coach? If he’s cheap I doubt he wants to pay them to not work here.

It says right above your post that he, "Values winning over money." I realize most positions make less in the NHL but he definitely got rid of everyone with the Hurricanes when he took over. At the same time the articles I've read said that he did so in order to be more hands on than the previous owner. The fact is that our GM and head coach have been meeting with the current ownership group a ton. So there is no reason to believe that they wouldn't work hand in hand with a new owner.

That being said, Dundon might just want his own people. I would bet now that it's been announced that he's the new owner of the team that he will meet with everyone and we will see at least some firings and hirings before the start of the season.
