Cal beat the Beavers 44-7 last season and season openers are always an iffy proposition. Might be a bit premature to be adding that to the win column
Cal lost a lot of significant players to the transfer portal. The "experts" they say suffered greater losses on offense than any program in the country. They lost their starting QB. Beavs on the other hand greatly improved at QB.
That would be a successful season at this point. Certainly if they did split the WSU games and went 7-5. Something tells me a couple home games vs Cal and Fresno could bring an upset win.
This is so very true. First and second game of the season for every team just always seems like a crap shoot.
not good https://www.si.com/college/oregon-s...-oregon-state-wr-darrius-clemons-01k2za2gegjp Late last week, Clemons reportedly suffered a lower leg injury, and he was spotted at Saturday’s scrimmage with a boot and scooter - signs of a serious setback - though neither Clemons nor Oregon State’s staff have spoken about the injury.
https://osubeavers.com/news/2025/8/...056&pid=oregonst_email_eloqua_eloqua&rid=1259 CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State Athletics and Blueprint Sports have agreed to a multi-year partnership that establishes Blueprint Sports as the Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) marketing agency for Oregon State Athletics. Blueprint Sports will oversee revenue generation, fan engagement, and partnership development efforts in the new era of NIL for all Oregon State student-athletes. As a part of the new partnership with Oregon State Athletics, Blueprint Sports has acquired and will assume operation of Dam Nation Collective, which has acted as the athletic department's official NIL collective since 2022. Dam Nation will be managed by a team of full-time, on-site Blueprint Sports executives who oversee all fan engagement, corporate partnerships, and special events for student-athletes. Those who have supported Dam Nation via membership can continue to do so and will be contacted with more information on the soon-to-be-unveiled new member benefits. This partnership strengthens the existing NIL and Revenue Share infrastructure supporting Oregon State student-athletes, fans, and alumni—building on initiatives like OSUnited, a comprehensive and modernized program that addresses the evolving landscape of collegiate athletics through philanthropy, sponsor partnerships, and ongoing opportunities, events, and product offerings from the athletic department.
Would love to see if all these schools will make their NIL situations transparent? Or are they already. I can only imagine how much is going to these kids. Wish University of San Francisco still had a football team FAMS! HA!
Any idea on how much Dam Nation has taken in every year since 2022 and how big of a slice of the pie Blueprint Sports is now going to take?
https://www.oregonlive.com/sports/2025/08/dallas-baptist-to-join-pac-12-in-baseball-in-2027.html This is big. They’re a big time baseball school.
Baseball seems to be the outlier. I don't think it's a bad look to have Gonzaga join next year. They obviously won't have much more than Basketball. Though they also have a baseball team. Just not Football at this point.
Made the NCAA Tourney 11 years in a row and 13 of the last 14 ... very good addition, now gotta get at least one more baseball school preferably in SoCal
