My go-to is a black double espresso each morning with 3 tbsp of clean McT oil. Breville barista express machine with beans from this local company doing good work...

We just went on a cruise and had Dutch drip cold coffee. So amazing I bought a tower last night (was about to do it DIY until I found the glassware and petcock were about the same price just as parts) and some ground fresh-roasted beans. We’ll see how it goes.

Warning - McT oil can cause irritability. Have we all been drinking that stuff? Are you suggesting we drink more? Well, okay, but I'm gonna blame you for what happens.

You have to start slow and work up. It definitely can (and has almost to me) cause “DisasterPants” (some people refer to this as “uncontrollable sharting”) and “Keto rash” if not used moderately until the body is attuned. But it’s great for me now.

A city roasted Boyd's coffee and a sticky cinnamon roll in the morning. Sometimes I have an apple turnover. Both the cinnamon roll and the turnover have to be homemade 'cause I can't gind decent ones out there. Now, you're talking.

    Reviving this old thread.

I drink a few cups of coffee every morning, with a solid amount of vanilla/caramel creamer. I cant drink coffee black. I need the flavor of the creamer to make it yummy. I've switched to the healthier creamers but they still have a solid amount of calories. So I'm thinking of cutting out coffee from my morning routine in order to be a bit healthier and cut out some calories. My question for ya'll is what are some morning coffee alternatives that you enjoy that are healthier?

and I could cut a ton of calories by cutting out beer :biglaugh: but that ain't gonna happen. I love it too much. :abeer:I have started drinking less beer and have a glass of whiskey instead. Less calories. Drinking a couple IPA's is almost as equivalent to eating a loaf of bread.

There's really nothing that compares to sitting around with the guys watching the game and slamming a few loaves of bread.

Hmm, whiskey? So I guess you’ll be changing your name to “BoBoHOOCHSKI”?

These days, I drink my coffee with just a drip of milk. Judy enough to turn it brown. I have one cup a day.

I used to make cappuccino every morning but for thee last 10 years I've switched to decaf black french roast with maybe a spoon of honey if my Ugandan bee farmer friend gives me a jar. I drink way more green tea than coffee these days. I still use butter and cheese and ice cream but I gave up my milk or cream addiction...I used to drink a lot of it.

Generally, I like my coffee cold not hot. Since becoming a father though, I'll drink it any way it comes.

As far as alternatives, I was using a product called Amino Energy for a while. There are a ton of flavors to try and I felt it gave me a nice healthy boost.

Pour over with a healthy glug of half and half. Grinding the beans and heating the water in the electric kettle are nice little rituals, and I generally have time to get that sesame bagel with cream cheese going.

He had a faulty GPS, followed it blindly, and ended up on the road to serfdom.

Cold brew. Normally make from home because any of the bottled store bought brands haven't tasted as good (and I've tried them all), but recently I discovered a brand that is superior to all challengers -- BIZZY!!

    https://www.bizzycoldbrew.com/

**BONUS: found at Grocery Outlet for half price compared to Fred Meyer (your local stores may vary)

I don’t drink it, but my wife loves Cold Brew from StumpTown.
