Ways to pass time, distract and satiate your hunger/hype for the upcoming season

  1. Watch NBA highlights, funny videos, documentaries, discussions

  2. Read this forum and other forums, browse the net for NBA news

  3. Play NBA2K as a MYplayer joining the Blazers and taking the team to the top (or die trying)

  4. Watch old replays of games, even classic Blazers games

  5. Avoid basketball-related content like the plague

  6. Watch movies and TV shows to distract and pass the time

  7. Watch The Client List (streaming on Tubi) w/Jennifer Love-Hewitt, ponder the depth of her sluttiness

  8. Play Clutchtime:Basketball (Rogue-lite deckbuilder like Balatro, but better)

  9. Shoot hoops at the gym/park, imagine you are on the team and in critical moments; can you drain it?

  10. Peruse offerings of yard sales, start collection of deformed, naked, plastic dolls or old hammers

I have been doing several of these things, maybe all of these things?? I'm going crazy waiting for the season to begin! Fan Fest is looming on the horizon like Christmas in 1984!

Here's something I found at a very scary garage sale. I snapped the photo, but did not buy. Those dolls had myriad stories of pain and depravity in their tortured eyes. I hopped in my van and fled the site posthaste!!

I think F1 is pretty intense.

Not in-person NASCAR, though? Makes me think of a quote: "There's nothing like gettin' shit-faced and going deaf in 110F degree heat and watching cars drive in a circle for several hours."

How can I embed this photo? It's not obvious what it's showing on the sides and those are the most notable freaks that everyone must see.

A friend took me to SINferno at Dante's years ago. For those who don't know what SINferno is, the SIN stands for Sex Industry Night, and locals in the sex industry (aka strippers and such) get together and put on a cabaret show.

It was really cool, really Portland. There were topless jugglers, people spinning on wires from various body piercings, just a lot of strange stuff.

One act, this woman came out topless and knelt down in front of a small table with a class bowl on it. Beside was a bag. She started reciting this poem about her childhood and her mother. As she was speaking, she pulled out a doll and placed it in the bowl. Her poem took a darker tone, her mother abused her, neglected her, she then poured liquid on the doll in the bowl. She is talking louder, and louder, she reaches into the bag, grabs a lighter, and sets the bowl on fire. Then, as she is calling out, "Mom! Mom! Why did you abuse me?" she pulls out a large knife and starts stabbing the flaming doll.

    It was fucking epic!

And that, kids, is how I met MrsPokerDog!
