When his career blew up, I thought his best basketball was ahead of him for like two seasons after he left the Sixers. The guy was Rookie of the Year, he was a three time all star, he was an all defensive first teamer twice and an all nba third teamer once. He's 29 and won't turn 30 until next off season. I'm still sad that this dude never got his mind right after that Atlanta series. It's a real shame.

Yeah it's sad, but that was probably the only offer he was going to get.

statistically, for what it's worth, Giddey is a lot better defensively than Sharpe. He's a lot better statistically on both ends of the floor

Thx for the numbers, seems like a fair deal for Giddey, wonder what Shae and agent think he should get? will they bet on nexy year or perhaps extend? will a new owner coming make current ownership more likely to wait on giving out extensions?

I don't think Jordan ever beat a team as good as the Warriors team that LeBron dragged a mediocre Cavs team to victory over.

PLUS: Jordan only ever won with Phil Jackson as coach (who then went on to coach the Lakers to five titles). LeBron's won titles with 3? different coaches, none of whom will be going in the hall of fame.

LeBron's fame will only grow in the years after he retires.

Lebron can replace MJ in all his championship teams and win as much.

I doubt MJ can beat the 16 warriors with love and kyrie.

    Question.

How has Garrett Temple been around for 15 years, while shooting a career 40% and 34% from 3 and scoring in double figures for a season once? I get that players can be useful in other ways, but 15 years?

obviously Camara is better on defense. Giddey really improved on that end of the floor

overall, Giddey probably has a bigger impact because of his offense; big edges in passing and rebounding. About even in shooting efficiency

    upload_2025-9-9_21-0-11.png

looks like next summer the Blazers will have to re-sign both Sharpe and Camara. I doubt they will get both re-signed for 50M; might be closer to 60M

Who would you rather have? I would prefer an all-NBA type defender who is decent on offense over a good offensive player.
They seem harder to find. But I guess it comes down to team needs

I’d be fine if he came to Blazers for the minimum. He’s still a useful player and would be another great defender on our bench. He’s not an All Star but he’s not a zero either.

The real answer is: he's an amazing lockerroom guy, and NBA teams know how valuable they can be. See Haslem, Udonis.

I don’t think bringing Simmons to Portland would be good at all. That guy just seems toxic on a bunch of levels.
